If we are going to settle for Cutcliffe or Rich Rodriguez then we have sunk lower than I would have imaged. Cutcliffe is a hell of an OC but look at his last SEC job were he was HC. And R.Rodriguez hell NO.

This has absolutely zero merit! If a coach is over .500 in the NFL, then that aint bad! The NFL is a QB driven league. The few coaches that have the exceptional win loss records had/have an elite QB: Manning, Brady, Montanna, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Aikmen, etc etc etc. Gruden never had a QB of that caliber....not in Oakland or Tampa.

Saban was .469 as a head coach in the NFL 15-17, so whats your point?

A QB driven League?? If I'm not mistaken D wins championships. D. I do however agree that over the past 10+ yrs. the league has shifted more toward high powered offenses, but it's only a matter of time before a defensive guru figures it out and shuts it down. The best teams in the NFL right now, win because they have smash mouth Defenses, not because they score alot of points. And Monty was the D coordinator in tampa, And the defense allowed somthing like 12 pts./gm.They more than doubled their season average winning the superbowl, but only allowing 12 pts./gm is what got them there.

Travass has Petrino as his #2 option...anyone would be a fool to hire that unreliable #@$%. I guess it would be worth the risk for someone like UK.

anybody opposed to randy shannon? from reading the reports of the whole Miami scandal he told his players not to talk to that booster and alot of the stuff was done on larry cokers watch... just throwing it out there feel free to throw it back at me

He coached a disfunctional Oakland team, who had an owner by the name of Al Davis. It would be difficult for anyone to win, under those conditions.
.500 is a good average, considering his stint at Oakland brought down his total winning percentage as a coach, with Tampa Bay included.

If we can't get a rock solid HOMERUN hire then we'll just get another CDD and set our program back another 3 to 5 years and be right back looking for another coach.

Either our big $$$ boosters will put up the $$$ for a solid homerun hire or we'll keep CDD for 1 more year or we'll get another unproven CDD type coach and it'll be many years before our beloved Vols will beat elite SEC teams and I'd rather be set back only 1 year to get a homerun hire than to be set back another 3 to 5 years or longer.

Our big $$$ boosters and AD Hart absolutely MUST get this hire done RIGHT this time.

Why don't YOU start a fund and donate your money to the cause?

I'm 100% disabled and on a very limited income and I still have a 16 year old son and a 9 year old daughter to try and raise and get through college.

My inlaws are 79 years old so I try and do all I can to keep our place up and to try and do whatever I can to help keep their farm going too.

I'd suggest that before you attempt to bash and belittle someone else that you might try to learn something of their situation and walk a mile in their shoes before being so immature and classless by just trying to attack them based on zero knowledge and making yourself look foolish my friend.

I wish you all the best in your life and I hope the obstacles will be few and very easy to deal with.
