Dooley sucks (merged)

Let me guess you are still stuck on Phil as being the greatest coach ever and even more stewed because he was let go. So just sit back and continue to make your comments about Dooley but will be a winner. He has a very bright future ahead of him at UT and he will get the program headed in the right direction.

So get on board or go root for MTSU or Vandy. But your comments are ridiculous.
this season just reinforces my comments when he was hired

evaluating coaches is pretty easy....every game they either win or lose, and at end of the season they have a win/loss record

he was 17-20 which is a losing record as a previuos head coach

he's 6-7 his first year here- losing riecord

we only beat teams with losing records

FL, Oregon, and Bama ran us off the field in the second halves of those games

the one success he had this year was maintaining the streak against KY

Definitely Dooleys fault we have no depth to hang with those teams in the 2nd half

That is a brutal shot of reality..

I think there was enough of a turnaround to merit Dooley the benefit of the doubt in 2011. We will reevaluate from there.

It is going to be a long two or three years before Dooley and Hamilton get the can.

Absolutely makes me wanna puke.

Hamilton may be gone sooner than that after the NCAA drops the hammer on the basketball program.

How is that a "brutal shot of reality"

EVERYONE knew we'd be bad this year. We played at/above our ability for much of this season. You could assemble an NFL staff and they wouldn't have had any better luck.

No DTs, no O-line, not playmakers anywhere on D except maybe Safety.

It is what it is this year. By 2012 we'll be playing with a fair deck. We need to see progress next year, and we need to be good in 2012.

I'm not the one trying to equate Dooley to Saban.

Just stop your bs, even your favorite coach said this would be a tough year. Its true that Saban went 6-6 his first year, what is so hard to understand?

Is Dooley going to match Saban's 2nd year record? If not, what is the relevance of bringing up Saban's first year record?

BS...Saban had been coaching years both in the NCAA and NFL, and won a National Championship before going 6-6 at Bama

Because you wouldn't have said saban was a bad coach after his first year. No one could match his record with our depth and inexperience, but let's not be reasonable.

And? He still went 6-6 didn't he? Who should have been hired? All of you want to ***** and moan but don't mention who could have done better

Yeah, it would have been so unreasonable for me to be more patient with a 2-time National Champion than someone who now has 3 losing seasons in 4 years of head coaching.

saban, meyer, tressel, stoops inherited a lot more talent than dooley, due to kiffin/fulmer's bad recruiting.

I can't say enough about how I think Kiffin is a scumbag, but he did give us some talented freshman. He tried to take them right back, but he did get them here.

There's a long list of threads during the abbrevated search Hambone did on who could would or should have been hired..

It's as irrelevenant as you comparing Dooley to Saban, because Hambone saddled UT with this loser

I've never said I think dooley will be as good as saban, just stated a fact. No coach would have done better this year.

There are definitely coaches that could have done better this year. 8-5 was more than within reach. There are plenty of coaches that just don't lose the LSU or UNC games. Having said that, I don't think we can judge much of anything (good or bad) in terms of Dooley's abilities based on this season.

This is not an 8 win team.
