While I'm sure that there would be people defending CBJ if he brought in someone like this, I for one certainly would NOT.

This guy has a long history of generally being a douche. IF CBJ were to bring someone like that in he'd be no better than Kiffen, those vagrants at The Barn, Petrino, etc. I loved CPF but I DO NOT want a return of the "Fulmer Cup" days.

OU fans seem optimistic he'll get a waiver. I doubt it. Gary Pinkel wasn't trying to lose the best player on his team. If whatever he did was severe enough for Pinkel to give him the boot, there's probably some stuff there that OU may not want to be dug up.

Not really; that part didn't happen. Those were the concerns her friend (DGB's girlfriend) expressed to her friend about why she shouldn't place charges, not something the coaches told anyone involved.


A major reason he got kicked off the team, a lot of the media in the area seemed to point out, was a lot of the coach having almost no tolerance for an instance like this (i.e., violence against a woman).

Considering our past history against teams with high profile players, DGB will likely be reinstated after a two game suspension that will conveniently end 9/13/2014.

Yea it would be stupid to underestimate Bob Stoops. That being said, the Alabama squad they played was not very motivated after not being in the championship game and it showed on the field. A lot of those guys were thinking about their NFL stock and not getting hurt.

I hate it when excuses are made for Bama. Saban didn't go out there to be embarrassed in front of a national audience. They competed, they tried and they got beat.

Look, I wish they could have been beaten by 100. I don't think they went out there wanting or expecting to lose the game. I'm just speculating that once they got down by a few TDs that the guys who knew they were going to go pro probably let off the gas a little to protect themselves. Would not surprise me one bit.

Please explain to me where I said that Bama didn't lose the game. Or that OU didn't deserve to win. I never said that Oklahoma didn't play great. In fact, the entire point of my first post was that it would be unwise for us to underestimate Bob Stoops. Jesus, bunch of sensitive folks on here.

We will either way. The perception of that program is overblown just because of the Bama game.

The teams they beat ended up 69-68. As you can see, some of the weaker teams kept it pretty close.

Am I saying we beat them? No, but we should be able to keep it close. Can we beat them? Yes.

Stoops feeling are hurt because of the dominance of the S.E.C. over other leagues in college football.

It absolutely made his day when they beat "O Bama" in the bowl game.

So, he will definately be prepared. He would look foolish if us, a lower seeded S.E.C. team came in to Norman and beat them.
