He also mentioned one commit we parted ways with after he stole something from another players apartment while visiting last year . No names were mentioned

Isn't McGraw chummy with that fat, disgusting, lowlife loser Byron DeVinner? I heard that he took an unofficial to Alabama with that pig. If so, there is no chance he comes to UT and wouldn't that also be an indicator that McGraw's character isn't so great either? The people you keep company with says a lot about the person you are.

He's a 17 year old kid. Hanging out with someone selling you wolf tickets doesn't make you a bad kid. It just means you are lacking in experience and are naive to the situation. We don't know what Rico's family situation is either. A lot of kids lacking in stability in their home lives fall prey to jackals like the DeVinner's of the world. If Rico wanted to be a part of this class, I'd welcome him with open arms. It would also mean he was rid of that fat POS seeing as though the university won't let him step foot on campus.

You have posted this in three threads. Give it a break. He is giving an opinion. He says none of this is coming from anybody on the Hill at 30:35. All the guys who focus solely on recruiting said we will take Jefferson, B Love, and Gibson no matter the numbers or recruits at their position. We usually lose about 5 from this time of year to NSD really. The Gibson talk starts at 44 minutes. He admits he doesn't really follow recruiting that much and gives an opinion. He thinks we won't take Gibson due to Jennings. No one has told him that.He said there are character concern rumors. He admits he could be way out in left field but he doesn't know. He is basing it all off of Jennings. Not by following recruiting or someone in the program telling him that. He guessed already we were done at qb and is sticking with it. Stop misrepresenting what was said.

I wonder who the 3 decommitments are cause that could be big if it is one of our qbs or Preston Williams

Not trying to be a negavol just running all the scenarios through

Re-read the excerpt. It's not Williams or one of the QBs.

Preston Williams is ALL Vol dude, and that's not just my opinion. His girl came to TN too and is enrolled. He has reaffirmed his commitment a hundred times now. Our QBs want to be here too. Dormady spurned Bama to choose us. You can't argue that there is a better program than bama at getting who they want over the past several years. We have had multiple people close to Jennings' recruitment who say he is all vol as well. In short, I don't think any of those three are going anywhere.

I have a hard time believing they would tell TG no thanks if he really wanted to come to UT.

Mathews says he doesn't really follow recruiting and none of this comes from anybody on The Hill. He is guessing and admits he could be wrong. He thinks because we have JJ we won't take him. No one told him that.

I like it. Great post. Now we can finally close the door on TG. He is just too much of a character risk. Auburn has completely turned away from him, too. I think he will end up at Miami.

This class will solidify our depth, and I expect a strong team in 2015-2016

Wait until TGs fan club see's this

I was one of the TG supporters, but I understand his poor GPA is a show stopper. Plus, his incoherent behavior leads me to suspect he would not have the demeanor required to be the team leader and would end up leaving or be a disrupter. If he could get his act together, he would be tremendous, but his GPA could make it moot.

Recruiting is not all about the stars or overall talent.

As Matthews stated, character issues play a big part in who you don't recruit and who you do recruit. He noted that Gibson has some character concerns that trouble coaching staffs.

Team chemistry is important in building a winning program.

My guess is that he said that because he knows recruiting can change. But I am sure he has been given some info to be so specific. His "educated" guess is much more informed than many of us on this board.

He also stated it was rumors and he doesn't follow recruiting much and that he didn't hear this from anybody in the program. I'm sure you will continue to ignore those parts though.

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

Once you understand where Matthews gets his information, you understand that he is pretty accurate and knows much more than you think.

He runs real fast...too bad he doesn't know which direction he's going.

Yea and you and a few more are steadily sinking in it. Mathews himself said he didn't get this from anybody in the program and doesn't really follow recruiting. So that makes him know more than those who whole job is recruiting and have inside info that say we are after Gibson? Ok sure.

I know, right? He doesn't really follow recruiting but somehow has in depth knowledge of CBJ's recruiting "depth chart"?

McKenzie
Richmond
Jefferson
Phillips

4 guys I figured we would take.

Sapp, and 2 CBs I figured we would take.

Other than McGraw and a 4th LB, I was close.

Of course I was not counting on 2-3 current commits already likely to be cut loose. He said you could look at the board and could probably tell which 2-3 it would be.

Woods, I fully get. It's been said he has some concerns.

He said they only take 2 WRs which would point to Bruce being cut loose. WHY? Why would the staff even take his commitment in tears mind you knowing they would drop him later? I'd struggle with that one if it happens.

I saw where people said no 3rd DT was wrong. Toward the end of the interview he did mention UT was looking for another DT other than Picou or McKenzie.
