Although I would question many, you hit the nail on the head. "Back in the day." Google Punch and see what you learn. He is not connected with today's college football scene.

Actually he was a sideline reporter for espn football for years before doing nascar.

If Hart knows who it's gonna be, they have got to get this thing done quickly for recruiting purposes. Not sure if I'm buying this.

Just said that he thinks that Hart has already hired his guy. He said he hasn't talked to anyone and that this is just a hunch from prior experience.

He also did Basketball back then. Does this make him a basketball insider as well? He was doing basically anything he could back then trying to get his break. Nascar is where he always wanted to be. He was doing Nascar at the same time back then for what it's worth, but Nascar was not as publicized then as it is now.

You think he would run his mouth not knowing what he is talking about? Ever figure Gruden works for Espn and Punch works there too. I don't see Punch reporting false information like people can on blogs behind their computer.

Seriously though I didn't know Dr. Punch was a football guy in the day, I was thinking why would a NASCAR guy be speculating on our search :whistling:

He didn't report anything. He stated "he believes." that is an opinion and not a reported fact. Key difference.
