I want! As you can tell by UK a shot blocker changes everything our D would be insane. Guards can be more aggressive on the perimeter because if they do get by theyre not gonna drive without gettin swatted anyways. Helps out your perimeter D immensely, and it's not like ours is bad to start with.

Figured I would add my dream class:

Landry
Thornwell
King/JW3
Nichols
Kingsley

I like that they describe Thornwell as having great court vision. We need someone like that badly. King is my #1 target because he is a position of need and an elite level talent. I like Nichols for the PF position because we need a new white boy once McBee is gone :dance2:

I know it sounds crazy but, Pastner could legitimately Strike out on all of the West Tennessee prospects. This is my very early prediction on these guys.

Nichols- UT
JW3- UK
King- Arkansas
Hubbs-? (I think if UK offers that is where he will end up)

Ok I was gonna say.DAMN! As I said earlier one good thing is we are in on a lot of good talent, so even if we miss a few we have others. Hers the main guys we seem to be in o:

Nichols
King

Hubbs
Bowles
Kingsley

I'll gladly take any 4 of those guys. If I had to guess the 4 we have the best shot at right now is say/ Nichols,Bowles, Kingsley and thornwell(I wish king).

I'd like to get jw3 king and hubbs in campus.

Regardless of who we end up with, I feel like a CCM recruiting class will always have these traits:

1) High character
2) Hard working
3) Coachable

You couldn't say that about the previous coaching staff. IMO CCM will take a 4 star with those characteristics over a 5 star that is lazy and has a sense of entitlement. He's going to take players that will work hard and play hard.

IMO he's also going to find very talented guys with these traits and that is hard to do. alot of these guys you may see him giong after like nichols, may be drawing interest from duke as those are the players they like.

I think I've voiced my theory on this before. It's purely speculation with no support but message board babble. I think the Oakhill/ineligibility/open-scholarship situtation made Stokes' mind for him. If things hadn't broken that way, I think Stokes would've ended up elsewhere. There are rumors that HS kids in the Memphis basketball circles have heard this from Stokes' own mouth, and there is even a report that he confirmed this to a media-type prior to his first UT game.

What the truth is, we will most likely never know nor do I think it matters. He's at UT and frankly I'm enjoying watching him in an orange jersey.

I think UT legitmately has the best shot at Nichols, as you may have gleaned over the weekend.

From what I can tell, Pastner is more focused on King and JW3, who he feels fit better into our system and who are a little redundant in the 3/4 role with Nichols.

I think Kentucky will try to make a big push for JW3 and King though. It's going to be a battle.

thats fair enough. as you said he ended up at UT and is recruiting guys guys to UT as well out of memphis so we're glad to have him.

yea i really like our chances with nichols, the only way i really start to worry is if duke gets invoved, that will scare me a bit.

honest question because i dont keep up with the pulse of memphis: if memphis fails to make the tournament as it appears they might, and doesnt have a good showing in the NIT, whats the feeling around memphis? hot seat for pastner, or is he safe?
