cuse and pitt will be there next year unless the lawyers get it settled, big east has a 2 year wait to leave, unless they agree on a buyout which is still being debated.

even with cuse and pitt leaving youve still got atleast 10 teams in the big east thatd beat memphis this year IMO.

::Spit take::

Dude, you call yourself a basketball fan?????

Georgetown- Yes, beat us twice.
Lousiville- We'd split with them at home, they beat us at the bucket.
Marquette- Possibly
UConn- No chance, they're garbage. You guys even beat them.
Cincy- Nope.
Nova- Maybe, I'd think we'd split a home and home series.

What am I missing? 10 teams?

dude no need to get bent out of shape it's jmo.

in my opinion i wouldnt take memphis over any of these teams:

syracuse
marquette
georgetown
notre dame
louisville
cincy
west virginia
uconn
pitt
st johns
....
and i could see them losing 1 or 2 vs the rest of the teams in the big east. its not the c-usa where its a cake walk, every team in that conference is pretty competitive, no game is a gimme, thats all i was saying. in my opinion i dont think memphis finishes 8th in that conference.

as i said dont freak out man just voicing my opinion.

syracuse I left them out of the convo, as you said "even without Cuse and Pitt, there are 10 teams that would beat Memphis. Cuse would kill us.marquette Probably right
georgetown Right
notre dame Nah, they're 15-8 with a worse SOS than Memphis.
louisville Memphis would probably get them at home, game in Louisville came down to the wire.
cincy Doubtful. 16-7 just like Memphis, but plays an SOS of 150+
west virginia Didn't include them, as they're leaving.
uconn They lost to you guys. Memphis waxes.pitt Didn't include, as they're leaving. But Pitt sucks
st johns St. Johns is 10-13 man.

I'm not freaking out, but let's be real. Memphis isn't a bunch of world beaters this season, but a solid team. Probably 5-6 in the Big East this season.

Agreed on most, but I'd take UM over Pitt, UConn (post Calhoun) and maybe Louisville. The big east is underwhelming this year - I think you can argue the big 10 is the best basketball conference

Uconn maybe, Pitt is actually on a roll now that they got their PG back, he's huge for that team. UL Is good.

How many teams are ranked in big 10 vs big east? I'm not being a smart A, I don't know without looking.

Edit. I looked I believe its 5 and 5, but I'd take the Pitt and Uconn of the big east vs the bottom of the big 10. Big east is definitely down though, they usually are much better, that can be pointed right at Uconn and Pitt to start with.

The guy is incredibly stubborn and just doesn't seen to want to quit. He's battled and come back from cancer 3 times, and now this I really don't think he's gonna hang up. IMO he should have retired after they won it all last year, it'll be hard for him to get that back to that point in his shape IMO.
