Brees did nothing until Freeney got hurt, and then he had all day in the pocket. Seriously he went untouched.

Manning never has time. In fact, that pick 6 is a product of the system they've developed because they can't protect Manning. He sees the blitz and he checks to a hot route. Instead of taking a sack they throw where they know they have man coverage. Manning knows the DB can't jump a route because if he guesses wrong, there's no help. If Manning had checked to a fly it would have been 6. Porter gambled and guessed right. Manning lives and dies by that throw. Without it, they don't get to the playoffs.
