Drew Pember getting some love on ESPN

Suggest you learn the difference between an assumption and a question...lol.

Next, try to keep up...especially when the question is predicated on the discussion at hand. Apparently, you need to read the thread before hitting reply in the future - if you had done this you would understand why CRB was mentioned (hint: I was not the first to bring up his name) and why your response seemed to indicate you agree with the original poster's premise and, again, it is why I posed a clarifying question to you. .

And speaking of dumb assumptions - see the bolded above.
Just stop posting.

So do we believe this team can be a final four or elite eight team this year?
Only if we find a consistent offense besides Vescovi. We put way too much pressure on ourselves when we only score in the 60’s. Hope a few of these guys who are currently struggling on O get things rolling before tournament time.

Obviously, we haven’t seen Key or ZZ at their best yet. I believe they have some upside that will come around. We can only get better, IMO. Look at Aidoo’s progression along with Awaka as well. How much better will be the key.

Absolutely, they are good enough to make a run to the FF. They have size, speed, depth, great PG, shooters, slashers, and play great defense.

People love to nitpick and point out their collective shortcomings as well as complain about individual players but this team is for real and can beat anybody anywhere.

That’s what we thought about Reggie Johnson, Bernard King, Ernie Grunfeld, Mike Jackson, and Johnny Darden. The best starting five in Tennessee history didn’t make it, so I’m thinking this year’s team won’t, given our offensive inadequacies. Could we make a run? Sure. Teams have done that unexpectedly from time-to-time. Could we make significant progress offensively, and if so, make a run? Sure. I hope we do, but I just don’t see it based on what we’ve seen so far, but I sure am keeping my fingers crossed.

They just have to get hot at the right time. You could say that about several of Tennessee teams in the past. I do enjoy watching these guys. They play hard and are unselfish.

Makes you wonder just how good Rick is at evaluating (and exploiting) the talent on his roster.
He definitely should not have let this one slip away.
We sure could use that 20 points per game this season.
You sure sucked a bunch in with this one. Well played sir.

Some guys are just mid-major guys. They can produce at that level but not in major college basketball. Key seems to fit this profile(still plenty of time to prove me wrong). Perhaps Pember is one of them. He should get a second shot somewhere to prove he belongs.

Love to see it. ESPN did a college basketball fantasy draft and Pember was the 24th pick.

“Yes, he's my mid-major guy, but he's so much more than that. Pember is a 6-10 star who has connected on 42% of his 3s this season. Overall, he's averaging 20.3 PPG, 9.3 RPG and 2.7 SPG. Pember is a force. And he'll come off my bench ready to do some damage. You might not know him now. But he's the real deal.”
24th pick in the 8th round? What is there 3 teams lol

Pember needed to play somewhere as a key option in a team where he could have the ball in his hands. He wasn't going to get that here

Unfortunately he can rarely get his shot off against P5 guys and he struggles horribly trying to defend any of them.
Yep. The SEC is not a finesse league. I’m glad it worked out for him but those that think this would translate to the SEC are delusional.

He had extremely limited minutes and was behind good players. Your analysis is flawed because of inadequate data.
Nah, Pember could not pull the trigger while with the Vols. I can't count the number of times he passed up an open look.
