'25 Duke RB Transfer Star Thomas (TENNESSEE)

It's barely the same sport.

Also I want to see how physical a team from 40 years ago would look against a modern team. The size and speed of the defense is night and day defense.
The rank and file payers from back then wouldnt make a college football team today mich less the NFL. Linebackers in todays game are faster than most of the WRs back then. We live in an age where the average skill position player runs a low 4.5 or hes not making the team and there might be 2-3 4.4 guys on a team if youre lucky. These days 4.4 is the qualification to try out.

Comparing football from even the 80s and 90s is a bit of a stretch because these days 90% of most P4 teams rosters would be considered freaks of nature back then.

Well 40 years ago was the 80's.

That’s because people can have different opinions…crazy how that works.

Kid is alright. He isn’t great, but he isn’t terrible.

He’s a tier above Madre London.

Madre had similar YPC, but was about ten pounds heavier. Star had more than double yards his soph season, and almost three times Jr season. but the important thing is receiving and TD yards.

So much more productive. Star was a 1024 yd producer in 2024!

I think Walter Payton, may he RIP, would likely disagree with this, as he rarely intentionally ran out of bounds. He, instead, delivered punishment to the tackler on the sideline while gaining those important extra yards.
Defenders are often not all that fired up to tackle ball carrires who bring the hate. Especially in this soft generation.
This isn’t black and white as we can’t tell the clock or time out/game situation from the short film clips.

Not sure how he is a 3rd down back because from what I have seen he doesn’t hit the hole full speed he does a ton of side to side steps. Nor does he have more wiggle than Bishop so don’t really see the 3rd down back.

This too me is a “pew-pew” commit and not a boom. Duke wasn’t sad to see him leave so seems like they were ready to see him gone. Not sure why exactly we should be pumped about this commit.
3rd down back bc he can catch the ball and he's a lot more experienced at pass pro than any of the young guys on the roster. Wouldn't classify Bishop as having wiggle...
