I'm going to make a point in this thread just so it can be case closed. Dy'Shawn Mobley is not going to UT as Randall Cobb did not. It won't make or break this recruiting class. He did not run a 4.4 forty and Dooley wisely didn't offer him a scholarship. If he goes to Kentucky and becomes the next Emmitt Smith than we can all eat crow--but whom around here would like to take bets he does not? Who offered this kid? Kentucky? Toledo? Mississippi State? One theme in common is those schools will never have BCS Championship aspirations. Every circumstance and every kid is different, but ask yourself one thing: why would you burn a scholly on a kid that doesn't run a 4'4? Wouldn't you focus your recruiting in the states of Florida, Georgia, and NC. Yes, a local kid is nice here and there but it's like rewarding kids who participate in the race. Not everyone gets a trophy--sometimes it needs to be about the best of the best!
Thanks for another stupid post saying the same thing that's been said about 600 times previously in the thread. Amazing how confident you were that this would close the case. No offense but stick your overrated 40 times up your arse. I'm sick of idiots acting like that's the measuring stick for every RB. Does Alden Hill run a 4.4?
btw, It doesn't belong in the Mobley thread but we have been searching the country for 3 years now looking for an elite RB and once again it appears we have came up short so I'm not buying your best of the best theme.
