Dy'shawn Mobley

Headed to Eastern Kentucky U. Quite a shame. He was really starting to do some good things.

Not a clue. He was getting playing time and doing well.

He had some red flags at powell supposedly and is why Vols coaches chose not to offer even though he would have filled a need. Possibly Stoops is seeing Mobley's character and pushed for a separation.

You shouldn't make claims like this without any facts. First, he had ONE mistake at Powell his junior year and never got in trouble again. He's a fine young man and read what Stoops was saying about him at the end of the season. His comments are not an indication of a kid with character issues.

Get your facts straight - the real reason they didn't recruit him was they already had commitments from other recruits at that position, Mobley ran a slow 40 time at their camp and Dooley is an idiot.

He's turned into a good power back- very strong, able to break tackles.

Best wishes to him as he looks to his future.

Agreed. I was shocked to hear he was leaving especially after the performance he had against the Vols. I'm sure EKU is licking their chops at getting him.

Who knows what led to the decision? But one fact stands out: you don't transfer to EKU from an SEC school...any SEC school...because your academics are in good order; no character issues; you're competing for a starting job; and you fit the scheme of the offense.

There's a reason why, and it's none of the above.

Agreed - my son played with him at Powell and I've been trying to find out the real reason but haven't had any success yet. It's probably a multitude of reasons. I know he hasn't been happy with his playing time but doubt that is the only reason.

He was getting plenty of PT at the end of the season. Look at what's coming at UK...he's behind Sanders and Kemp, with Mikel Horton coming in. He'd be a great 3rd down back though.

Just a shot in the dark, but I'd guess he has the "wants to be the star" syndrome. Stoops has recruited well and feels like he got recruited over. What else could it be?

If I'm not mistaken, he was listed as 3rd string and played only because of the suspension and injury to #1 and #2?

But I think one of those graduated (the suspended one)
I believe he did. I was replying to the statement about the playing time at the end of the year. Until the injury and suspension, I don't think he was getting a lot of carries. Granted, I didn't see many of their games so I may be wrong.

I heard he felt like he didn't fit the Stoop's system very well. Oh well, I wish him the best of luck at EKU.

I was in Lexington to watch him gash the Vols. No top end, but very good at plant and go. Wish we had him tbh.
