When did I say he was a bad person? I basically said he made the mistakes and I am not going to make excuses for him. If he got a bad wrap then he brought it on himself.

You're right, you didn't say he was a bad person. The choices he made were boneheaded at times, but I don't think he deserves a bum rap for them. Had UT any defense (and coaching) last year, and won a few more games, TB would receive a lot more love from the fans, regardless of what he did off the field.

How about some other VFL's that flamed out or had significant lapses in judgement?

Reggie Cobb was dismissed for failing repeated drug tests.
T-Rob mentioned in the original post - Heisman hopeful to coke dealer.
Chuck Webb was arrested for forging a teammate's check.
Chuck Smith broke a baseball player's jaw in '89.
Amsler had a DUI and was involved in some frat brawl where I think a kid got stabbed.
The infamous strip robbery by JJ, Nu'keese and Richardson.
Cam Clear...

Makes TB sound like a choir boy...

I won't give you any more crap. People that drink and know when to quit are of the highest order for me. Hangovers sucked back in college, but they are far worse as I've gotten older so it never happens anymore.

Add Robert Meachem to the list. He got busted for plagiarism while I was at school there. No surprise that he left school early. Before that, didn't Brent Schaeffer beat someone with a bat? James Banks and his prosthetic um, equipment. The list goes on.

I agree with you. Bray played well enough to win many games that UT lost. I don`t blame him for that, that was beyond his control. The beer bottle incident was within his control. It was a "bonehead" move and he took responsibility for it and I praise him for that. And he may not deserve the "bum rap" for what he did, but he got it and he has only himself to blame. It still doesn`t take away what he was able to accomplish on the field.

You are right, many former Vols are guilty of bonehead moves. I don`t make excuse for any of them.

How many players has Volnation liked from the 2012-2013 team? I can think of 1, AJ Johnson. Other than that everybody rips on the rest if the team

Leads me to believe you were either:

A. dating someone way out of your league,

B. perpetual wingman for some dude that got regular serious action

C. attending college in your hometown, and Baptist.

A couple of those are legitimate, so okay.

Hey, Baptist kids have to be really careful about drinking because it might lead to dancing.

At my church we also had another cardinal sin--something called "mixed bathing"--better known as "going swimming."

What would be the problem with swimming? If anybody got a little, uh, sinful, you could just hold 'em under till they were righteous again.

Does have stupid talent. Will miss a lot of the big throws, big numbers. Won't miss 3 & outs in the 4th qtr with game on the line. Won't miss incomplete 9 routes on 3rd and 1. Just me.
