The way I understood it from the quote I saw from his coach is, Schedule wise, next Tuesday is the easiest day they could all do it.Which doesn’t make a ton of sense. Early signing period ends on the 6th, next Tuesday is the 10th, so is this other sports that those kids are signing or what is the reason for holding off for any of those kids to next week after signing day is done?
Nick Saban made a living pulling kids out of Louisiana to Alabama. They do, but Louisiana is a state where the talent generally stays home. When LSU wants a Louisiana kid, they're hard to beat. The same is not true in Tennessee.
I won't argue. But as long as Kelly is coach, I could see LSU struggling with those in-state kids.Nick Saban made a living pulling kids out of Louisiana to Alabama.
Half of Louisiana's top 10 are leaving the state in the 2025 class...which is exactly the number of top 10 Tennessee kids going somewhere other than Tennessee.
Unfortunately for us, it would be quicker to list the SEC programs that weren't better than us during the post '01 dark years. And LSU was better from '01-'19. Again in-state talent isn't even close.
I have lived in Baton Rouge for 17 years now. It’s undeniable that the talent pool here is greater than that of Tennessee. These kids don’t have other SEC schools right down the road from them either. The entire state is basically Knoxville. It’s over a six hour drive to any SEC school from Baton Rouge. Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina are at best 4.5 hours away from Knoxville. Just take the Memphis market, for example. It’s a shorter drive to Baton Rouge than it is to Knoxville.Y'all really overrate instate talent. Kids cross state lines to go to school.
If there is one thing we know for certain, it is that once you get past the top 3 classes these rankings are so accurate that they definitely determine who will have a better team in the next couple seasons. I hate that UF will beat us on the field next season after flipping him.Hayward's Florida defection jumped them ahead of us on the 247 team rankings. They moved to 10, we fell to 11.
Thank you for adding to the discussion. If he signs early it has to be by Friday, so he could be signed right now and he is good. Nothing has to be announced until the player wants it announced. I really don't think there is much to worry about, they just want to make everything official when they do the program at his school Tuesday. I think if he were waiting because he may flip then we would have heard by now, too many leaks for it not to be out.Dang I hope so. Doesn’t make sense with the dates, but I hope so
