Early Pre-season Top 25

The fact that beating Vandy is a goal shows just how far the UT program has sunk.

You're right, wolfe. Beating Vandy should be a given for a program with our tradition. We'll know when we're back when we're competing again with the upper echelon teams in the SEC.

Isnt Vandy ranked in this very poll? No reason ignoring this...thay are on the list, wheather Franklin is a fruitcake or not (personally dont like him). Beating them is as important as beating any of the other ranked teams on the schedule even if they werent in-state. GBO!

This will be Vandy's 3rd powder-puff schedule in a row. They might still be ranked when we play them. I hope so. It will make it so much sweeter. Franklin knows that this will be the last easy schedule so he'll be somewhere else this time next year.

Last I checked Vandy and Tennessee both played in the SEC East! Tennessee plays Bama and Auburn in the west. Vandy plays Ole Miss and Texas A&M! Vandys SEC schedule is tougher!

Google 2013 SEC teams strength of schedule. Based on the 2012 records of the teams they play this year, Vanderbilt has the 14th highest strength of schedule. Yep, dead last in the SEC. UTs is 7th, or right smack dab in the middle. Kentucky has the most difficult schedule in the league.

By the way, when do you think you guys will actually schedule a non conference game on the road vs a top team, say like.... Oregon? Noticed you're still really making it tough on yourselves by going after UMass and Wake Forest.....

Ok, you think at home vs Ole Miss and on the road at Texas AM is tougher than on the road vs Alabama and Auburn? Combined, I'm thinking Ala and Aub have won the last 4 national championships. How many for ole miss and Texas AM again?

What was Auburn 's record last year? It's not that much different between the two. Getting in a pissing match with. A Candy fan is sad enough and shows how far we've fallen.

A&M and Bama are both championship contenders. But Ole Miss is in much better shape than the barn right now.

What if ohio st. and oregon or stanford finish undefeated. While all the SEC teams finish with 1 loss because of the stronger competition. Making the SEC championship streak end. I could see it happening this year and that would suck

I don't give a **** who wins the NCC, if its not tennessee. Sorry you are so emotionally invested in conference dominance.

It won't happen though. A 1 loss Alabama team will sneak their undeserving ass into the NCC game as usual. Makes me ****ing sick to my stomach

I would say any 1 loss SEC team would be more deserving than a undefeated pac 12 or big 10 team just sayin'

Maybe. But it shouldn't ever happen. If you lose in December, your ass should be eliminated. If you count how hard a conference is into the overall outlook, the system is flawed. When Alabama lost to Lsu a few years ago, that should have been it. They weaseled their ass into the title game after the SECCG. Pathetic, and never should have happened.

April fools!

We have to play five top ten teams. I can't think of anyone who has a harder schedule that we do.
