East Tennessee Weather II

We're fixin to send y'all Delta leftovers after we are done with it (and it done with us) down here in bayou country.

Edit: I am so over Louisiana ... anybody got any land surveying openings in upper E TN, or DFW where my grandbabies are?
 
I’m so confused by this weather prediction, one of y’all gurus help me out. The projected paths don’t even show Delta getting to Tennessee until about midnight Saturday night. Saturday morning here in Knox we have a tee time and football day planned. The weather channel says it will be down-pouring Friday night and all Saturday morning.

Who is right here?

The projected path is showing when the center of the system will reach an area. That's not showing when the rain will arrive. There will be a lot of moisture and precipitation ahead of the center of the system.

The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southwest North Carolina, east
Tennessee and southwest Virginia, including the following areas,
in southwest North Carolina, Cherokee and Clay. In east Tennessee,
Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount Smoky Mountains, Bradley, Campbell,
Claiborne, Cocke Smoky Mountains, East Polk, Grainger, Hamblen,
Hamilton, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Loudon,
Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Morgan, North Sevier, Northwest Blount,
Northwest Carter, Northwest Cocke, Northwest Greene, Northwest
Monroe, Rhea, Roane, Scott, Sequatchie, Sevier Smoky Mountains,
Southeast Carter, Southeast Greene, Southeast Monroe, Sullivan,
Unicoi, Union, Washington and West Polk. In southwest Virginia,
Lee, Russell, Scott, Washington and Wise.

* From this evening through Thursday afternoon.

* Periods of heavy rainfall are expected across the area in
association with remnants from Hurricane Zeta as it moves further
inland. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected with
isolated totals in excess of 4 inches possible.
 
We’re spending a few days on Lake Cherokee with a friend who is supposed to begin a fishing tournament at 7 tomorrow morning. LOL

Tropical Storm Warnings have been issued for southeast Monroe and all of Polk County, and a High Wind Warning has been issued for the rest of the mountains.
