East Tennessee Weather II

Looks like I will finish up with about 8 inches here. I thought I'd get about 5 max. Sometimes you get surprises!

Had 4" near Kodak.

The models were really hitting at an axis of heavy snow handing along the I-75 corridor last night, and it sure happened. The mid-level front and instability resulted in plenty of convective banding and even some thundersnow between about 2 and 3:30am! That produced some really heavy snow rates.

It sure seems to me like we've had an above average number of windy days this last month. Is there a way to compare wind data over time?

Check out the ash plume on Doppler radar from the wildfire near Pigeon Forge. Ash is falling over 50 miles away from this beast. Prayers for all involved.Resized_20220330_201444.jpeg
