Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.
Yeah, it's going to be a concern for a bit. I'm interested in seeing when it's going to warm up a bit. The 10 day looks brutal.6+ wouldn't surprise me at all if the track stays the same.
The biggest thing, look at the temps through next Friday. What falls isn't going anywhere and will refreeze each night.
As Vol Knight said, get prepared and don't be caught off guard with icy roads lingering for days.
TWSSHad to go to the Co-Op yesterday and pick up some feed, and the old timer there is convinced that we are going to get more than what the “weather eggheads on TV” are saying. His citation: a mix of old farmers and wives tales, ranging from how the cattle are acting to the color of the sky at sundown. He was 100% serious and I’m guessing he’s probably in his late 70’s, so maybe he’s onto something.
I want to believe.
But a good 4-6” I will definitely be happy with.
