No doubt, my dad was a geological survey and engineer. He actual has seismographs all over the states for TVA. I have a few read outs from the big ones in Cali3.6 2KM NNE of Fincastle, TN.
Latest Earthquakes
Been through many in California, including 1989 Loma Prieta. This was a baby compared to that one.
Feb. 8-9 Looks promising. Week out still but models are holding. We shall see, enjoy this false spring before we get real winter.
I’ve been reading another weather message board and they are saying maybe 1-3 inches for upper East Tn and more in elevations and plateau. I’m wishful we see some accumulation here in the valley. Who knows with this place. I’m headdd back to the Rockies next week for some winter weather. I’ve given up on East Tn giving me any winterI'm guessing the weekend chances fizzled out?
February still should have some cold, right? Please?

Cleveland, Maryville, Sevierville, Athens, Alcoa, Sweetwater,

If we get 4+ over the next day and more next week, we will have major flooding issues. We are already over saturated.I hope you guys like rain, because the models over the next 10 days are showing ridiculous amounts of rainfall. The GFS is showing 12+ inches across most of East TN in that timeframe. I’m hoping that this ends up being wrong.
