Todd Howell backing off the 2-5 saying it will be on the lower end...he still thinks we will get the wraparound...its not happening on radar, I think we might see some snow showers but the steady snow will be out of the valley in an hour or two maybe 3 inches total.

The wraparound won't happen until the center of the low turns up the SC coast. It's still in Florida.

I'm looking at the radar...

Don't look mrorange but I think it might be ending.

Yeah, I think the Chatt and Tri Cities meteorologists nailed it and the NWS failed here..best to err on the side of caution I guess though

good call by the guys who said this would be a 15:1 ratio snow.

We just measured 1.5" of snow at our midnight observation with 0.1" of liquid precip. This comes out to a 15:1 snow-liquid ratio. #mrxwx

Get it with a leaf blower early when its still powder.

Hahaha! I'd love to actually see someone do this. :)

I'd be laughing.

Edit: Fun, but not necessarily the most efficient method.

It makes me laugh at work every year when we get a little snow.

So many people call out because they think they're the only person that "live one a hill & cant get out"..... its Knoxville, everyone lives on a hill. We had to close an entire day last year after 2" of demon powder because 90% of the staff couldn't make it.

It's not as hard to drive in snow as most people think or are just afraid to do it. Your average front wheel drive car can handle 2 inches of snow better than you probably think. Just take it slow and steady. The best way to learn how to drive in snow and what your car can handle is to go out there and try it, carefully. I recommend finding a large, empty parking lot, get a feel of how long it takes your car to stop at speed in snow. Going down a snowy hill do it slowly, going up a snowy hill do it slow but steadily, in a low gear, and try not to stop.
