Only after he exposed treason on the part of government officials did this occur. And only after the U.S. turned their back on snowden.

I know this is hard for many of you. Fox News has convinced you that the only way to defend the constitution is to kill brown people for no apparent reason in middle eastern countries.
But there are other ways.
Much like the definitions of what the different levels of classification for sensitive information, you seem to not really know the definition of this. What NSA was doing was wrong and illegal, but it wasn't treason in any sense of the word. I am 100% against what NSA was doing, but that doesn't absolve Snowden in the least bit.
Math.
Go ahead then. Please give me the definition of treason?
The betrayal of one's own country by waging war against it or by consciously or purposely acting to aid its enemies.
Yes, but that's not what treason is. Not trying to insult you, but aren't you a teacher? What subject do you teach?
The legal definition:
Now if you said Obama was guilty of treason by being the the head man in charge while NSA was doing their thing, then I could agree with it. But the US cant be guilty of treason.
Perhaps Snowden saw what happened to Bradley Manning, and didn't want to spend the rest of his life in prison.
Option 3?
This is big government love at its worst. We find out the government is ****ing, and then we allow them to use the media to manipulate us into blaming the man who pointed it out to us.
It's honestly one of the most frightening things I've seen in my 26 years.

work for legitimate businesses, either inside the US or outside of it. Of course who the frick wants to hire a guy that didn't keep government secrets and therefore can't be trusted with business secrets. (can do this outside the reach of the US)
write a book and make a freaking movie deal. (could do this outside the reach of the US)
actually stayed and tired to help clean up the mess, make the better world he wants. even though he said he specifically did not want to do that, which makes me question the heroics of it. (very much within reach, but then the government gets to make him the hero/champion of change that he called out)
he made 200,000 a year, hopefully he didn't spend it all, retirement or change of career. or gone and been a recluse living on 50 acres somewhere (in the US or outside of it)
just a few things he could have done.
You said after he released it he had other options.
But Even if he didn't get killed, do you truly believe the information would have been released?

I dont know if you are just purposely arguing or if you actually believe this. Not a single person in this thread is absolving the USG or NSA of what they were doing and everyone seems to agree that they were doing illegal **** and should be held accountable.........................................BUT THAT DOESNT ABSOLVE SNOWDEN
