Yes. But that would be a big disappointment in light of some of the earlier reports about how badly he wanted to get back to UT.

LWS, I also read that he wasn't playing this fall. Is that true? That would leave him 3 years of eligiblity, right?

I read he was doing like Fisher and saving a year of eligibility... could have to do with getting his grades in order too though.

Am I to understand that this Herbert kid, a 4 star DT, has committed as of today and no one seems to care, even though a lot of Vol fans are concerned with how badly we need DTs?

He seems like a good prospect, all the numbers look excellent, glad to have him.

By Herbert commiting, hopefully this will get a few more DT's to commit now. That seems to make a difference. We sure need them.

As far as Hall goes, I haven't heard anything about him having any issues. I also thought he was on track. As far as him not playing this fall, you would think that would hurt his recruiting status.

Herbert seems like the big, nasty kinda guy we need right away. I hope he's ready come 09 cuz we'll need him on the field. Anybody got more info on this guy?

Re-read the thread....there has been no negative talk about this DT...believe it or not....there has been nothing negative said about him.

Sorry if you misunderstood...I was expecting to hear how excited everyone was to get him, and it seems all the talk was about Hall. Then I realized there was a thread merged about Rogers and Herberts commits.

I'm excited about him. Reminds me of another couple of juco players that turned out very well. Different positions buy chris mims and chuck smith turned out ok for us.

PJ, I have a 4 month old little girl and she makes me feel my age sometimes. she's in this new phase where she screams at the top of her lungs. she's not mad or hungry, she just screams. Man, it just wears me out. Today I restarted my workouts after taking a year off and gaining 30lbs. Cardio, lifting, and salads....here we go. By the way, I used to tend bar at Ivy's on the strip and I waited on Chuck Smith alllllll the time. Good guy.
