I don't even support Fulmer and since you obviously haven't read my posts or looked at my signature you obviously can't understand the strong hint of detest I have for Fulmer at this point. My detest though doesn't take away from the fact he is a Top 5 closer in recruiting in the nation. As far as you coming out of HS and being a part of the process that has nothing to do with Fulmer and the recruits that he closes with on a yearly basis. If you ask me it sounds as if you maybe sore at Fulmer and UT for not recruiting you. So as you like to so eliquently say in several posts, you FAIL.

Its the Coaching Staff
The Head Coach and
The University and Tradition
And Also Family that have played here in the past!

If the head Coach goes so do most of the recruits. So even if they dont come out and say like most of the players do...that they are not here because of Fulmer if he leaves see how many leave with him. These players trust Phil and they know how many players he has placed into the NFL and they want to come play for him. I think we need a change but I am willing to give him another year, since he is working with a New OC and QB. But Chavis and Slade gotta go!

Dude, your reaching is more desperate than some of the political ads I have seen. Your responses are directly effecting any actual credibility you actually had up until this point.

it was an attempt to lighten the mood...you have not reached the calm zone yet have you...my credibility with you is none of my concern...you, on the other hand, think that winning an opinion thread is the most important thing

It's OK, sometimes people have to come to the conclusion they are wrong. You haven't reached that point yet obviously and are willing to build up my "superior intellect". I have admitted several times to being wrong and haven't been shy about it either. I have been calm and steady the entire conversation about this subject. It takes more than a difference of opinion to get me riled up. As far as winning an opinion goes, that's not even close to what I wanted here. I just wanted you to admit that Fulmer and the coaches are the bigger reasons than you would like to admit on why recruits are still coming here based on our success this season. You still can't admit that and that's fine, but don't try and make yourself look better by trying to cut someone down based on something that you are wrong on, IMO. Don't worry, I am fine.

Anyway back to recruiting. Look IDK wat happens if Fulmer does and wat happens w/ recruits. I guarentee we'll lose a few. I think Boyd would be a huge get and we get Hestie. Boyd would be an awesome pickup

If losing recruits is the result of firing Fulmer, we should take the risk. If Hamilton makes a good hire, maybe Butch Davis , we wouldn't lose much.

Never has a university fired a coach with a top 10 incoming class. It is likely to be a top 5 by Monday. Even Fulmer's biggest haters are smart enough to see that we are addressing every single need with these recruits. Offensively, we would be set for 4 years. With the 2007 class we would be set on D for 2 more. Their problem is they know if Fulmer is kept this year, then he will likely have enough talent to last 3 more years. It sucks, but recruiting is half the job and Fulmer is covering his big behind with an awesome class.

We would be forfeiting any chance of short term success if we get rid of Fulmer and these recruits leave. We would also be selling EB and the 2007 class short by not giving them a legit shot of winning a championship. It would be the biggest waste of talent ever at UT.

We won the east last year and we all unfortunately got our hopes up. But in honesty, we have been rebuilding this whole year. New coordinators, offense, and QB. Everyone on here is jealous of Bama but lets see how they look next year with a new QB and inexperienced O line. By firing Fulmer and ruining the incoming class, we would assure ourselves back to back crappy classes. That alone will set the next coach back 2 or 3 years. If we can get Butch Davis, I say fire Fulmer because BD has a nice class himself and is admired by everyone. Any other replacement is risky and certain to set us back a long time.
