Someone earlier in thread mentioned they thought this is more like a red trickle as opposed to a red wave, and that is proving to be accurate. I had R+20 (meaning an R+30 pick up tonight) majority in the House and a 50-50 Senate. Looking like I overestimated R pickups (they will still win the House, but it won't be by the margin I expected) and there might be one D pickup in the Senate.Yep ... I had hopes for that one, and Barnes made a game of it, but not enough in the end.
Also, Masto looks safe in Nevada. There really wasn't much drama tonight. The polls were more accurate than they have been in a long time. It is fair to say that Republicans slightly underperformed - and in every disappointing result, it was a Trump endorsed election-denier.
That gets back to whether or not they still want to be the Party of Trump or move on. Trump loves that fight too much to ever give it up for boring dialogue concerning the economy. If they're smart, they will jump on the DeSantis bandwagon, and now is the time .... but they aren't and they won't.Republicans just need to focus on the economy and responsible government and stop worrying so much about the culture wars and other ******** that makes them unpalatable to so many moderates.
Been saying this for years. Abortion? Get over that sh!t. Focus on what everyone actually cares about: Money.Republicans just need to focus on the economy and responsible government and stop worrying so much about the culture wars and other ******** that makes them unpalatable to so many moderates.
Nope. They (not me) will continue to cling to topics like that have zero impact on them unless they choose to allow it like abortion, gays, Jesus stuff, etc. They won't.
My policy: you don't support abortion, don't have one; you don't support gay marriage, don't have one. For the party that talks constantly about "freedom" and "liberty", they sure do like to stick their noses in business that has nothing to do with them. Mind your ****ing business.Nope. They (not me) will continue to cling to topics like that have zero impact on them unless they choose to allow it like abortion, gays, Jesus stuff, etc.
I still cant wrap my mind around the abortion issue, especially if you are a guy. Its just like not liking a vegetable. Dont like broccoli? Dont eat it. Dont like abortions? Dont f@#king get one. Who gives a sh!t what someone else does? Dont accidently live vicariously through other peoples actions or inactions.
Amazing that abortion rights for the most part stayed the exact same since Roe ended yet the media sells the idea that some constitutional right had been taken away.Nope. They (not me) will continue to cling to topics like that have zero impact on them unless they choose to allow it like abortion, gays, Jesus stuff, etc.

What I can’t fathom is how the vast majority of these elections are in the 50-55/45-49% vote range. Then these idiots, all of them, get to DC and ignore the minority of voters of the states/districts that they represent. Or in a Governor race, NY is amazing. Hochul is going to win 53/47. And she will run this state 100% from the left. She’s literally said leave the state if you don’t vote blue. Both sides need to move away from their extremes and more toward the middle.
Lol you think Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty give a **** about liberals in Tennessee? News flash: they do not. What I can’t fathom is how the vast majority of these elections are in the 50-55/45-49% vote range. But representing all citizens doesn’t get you the money to get re-elected. So, she’ll run the state as NYC desires.
