Election Night (or days, or weeks, or whatever) 2022

Yep ... I had hopes for that one, and Barnes made a game of it, but not enough in the end.

Also, Masto looks safe in Nevada. There really wasn't much drama tonight. The polls were more accurate than they have been in a long time. It is fair to say that Republicans slightly underperformed - and in every disappointing result, it was a Trump endorsed election-denier.
Someone earlier in thread mentioned they thought this is more like a red trickle as opposed to a red wave, and that is proving to be accurate. I had R+20 (meaning an R+30 pick up tonight) majority in the House and a 50-50 Senate. Looking like I overestimated R pickups (they will still win the House, but it won't be by the margin I expected) and there might be one D pickup in the Senate.

Republicans just need to focus on the economy and responsible government and stop worrying so much about the culture wars and other ******** that makes them unpalatable to so many moderates.
That gets back to whether or not they still want to be the Party of Trump or move on. Trump loves that fight too much to ever give it up for boring dialogue concerning the economy. If they're smart, they will jump on the DeSantis bandwagon, and now is the time .... but they aren't and they won't.

If you are anything but a white man, you need to get the f out of texas, and get the f out of florida. You are nothing but cattle there. Just pack your bags and get out. You will be better of. They are trying to kill you.

My stand remains. I believe we need to sell texass to mexico, they never wanted to be part of America anyway. Sell Florida to Cuba, they like living under communism. Use the money to pay off their debts.

Been saying this for years. Abortion? Get over that sh!t. Focus on what everyone actually cares about: Money.

1.5lbs of Ribeye was $36 at my Publix yesterday here in Georgia. Thats how I know Biden has f@#ked things up by being a moron and now the only true fix is to have the Fed sink the economy and his Presidency.

They won't.
Nope. They (not me) will continue to cling to topics like that have zero impact on them unless they choose to allow it like abortion, gays, Jesus stuff, etc.

I still cant wrap my mind around the abortion issue, especially if you are a guy. Its just like not liking a vegetable. Dont like broccoli? Dont eat it. Dont like abortions? Dont f@#king get one. Who gives a sh!t what someone else does? Dont accidently live vicariously through other peoples actions or inactions.

Just sell texass. Just sell them. I cannot believe we fought for those assholes. They never wanted to be American. Just sell them. I cannot with you people. You are crispier than an onion ring from the sun.

My policy: you don't support abortion, don't have one; you don't support gay marriage, don't have one. For the party that talks constantly about "freedom" and "liberty", they sure do like to stick their noses in business that has nothing to do with them. Mind your ****ing business.

But that isn't where the GOP is right now.

Amazing that abortion rights for the most part stayed the exact same since Roe ended yet the media sells the idea that some constitutional right had been taken away.

If it helps, conservatives care so much because if they don't fight for the unborn then nobody will

Both sides need to move away from their extremes and more toward the middle.
What I can’t fathom is how the vast majority of these elections are in the 50-55/45-49% vote range. Then these idiots, all of them, get to DC and ignore the minority of voters of the states/districts that they represent. Or in a Governor race, NY is amazing. Hochul is going to win 53/47. And she will run this state 100% from the left. She’s literally said leave the state if you don’t vote blue.

But representing all citizens doesn’t get you the money to get re-elected. So, she’ll run the state as NYC desires.

Lol you think Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty give a **** about liberals in Tennessee? News flash: they do not.

I stand corrected on the Nevada race. Laxalt has a good shot, because he is doing better than expected in Clark County. This will be a squeaker.

The Georgia race could be another runoff.

To me there are two states that going to suffer the most:
Pennsylvania - First Oz was a terrible candidate. He got beat by an ultra-liberal, trust fund baby, stroke survivor still in recovery .
Second they better get used to the idea that Fetterman will vote against fracking in the Senate. Jobs will be permanently lost. He is a rubber stamp.
Michigan - Whitmer . I am amazed she survived. Enjoy four more years of suck. At least she is term limited. Dishonesty must be a virtue,
