Election Night (or days, or weeks, or whatever) 2022

DISGUSTING, but I can tell you why. They gerrymandered the **** out of Ohio. I had the same polling spot for 20 years. Right across the street. No problems. Since 2020, and the cult of frumpism infected the minds of half the state, I have been moved 3 times. Yesterday I stood in a long line for 1 machine. Yeah, we had 1 machine. You already know which way I voted. They still have TRUMP flags flying in rural places. Many took them down in embarrassment, but not all. Half the adults in Ohio didn't bother to vote. Pathetic. Their minds have been fried. Ohio Youth is coming up strong tho. I got hope.

GOP Lt Gov of Georgia on right now. Says he did not vote in Senate race and that he thinks Republicans waking up to reality of what could have been had they picked better candidates, specifically non Trump ones.

Says Trump no longer leader of a movement. Now just a distraction.

Powerful.

He planned to. He'll either postpone or, more likely the messaging will be crafted to 'I, and I alone, can win for the GOP."
Thankfully this has been a clear repudiation of Trump. I know he’s going to cling on because of his narcissism, but hopefully he’ll eventually fold or get beat in the primaries. Either way, the media will keep him front and center. They and Democrats will continue to equate any form of conservatism with Trump.

I wonder how the Democrat strategy of donating to campaigns of trump backed candidates will translate to a presidential election. Will Trump get support in the primaries by the DNC knowing he can’t win?

No doubt about it. He’s right. This is squarely on Trump and the GOP has to figure out how to convince working class voters of that.

It looks like Lauren Boebert could lose. Get ready to hear how China hacked the voting system in Colorado.

Interesting

I never once said the Feds should be forcing anything. If a private company you work for had a Covid policy, that is between you and your employer. If you couldn't walk in to a store without a mask, that is on you for not adhering to what that private business allows. Judging from the gay cake incident on here, I was under the impression that companies can do what they want.
You may not personally but you do support it with your vote and putting those people in office. Claim it all you want but no one can tell the difference

GA GOP could have nominated a bland county commissioner for US Senate and he would have won by 5%.
B.O.R.I.N.G. A "pro-life" wife beater with 8 baby mammas, a fanciful sense of reality, and a gift with words is so much more interesting.

DeSanctimonious has to be positively giddy this morning.

One thing I've noticed is overstatement of DeSantis win. Yes, he'd have won against pretty much anyone the Dems put up, but the margin of this victory was to some extent largely a function of the Dems running such a weak candidate.

I am very proud of gen z man. You guys showed up in numbers that eclipsed your pethetic parents. Nice job. The world is quickly becoming yours.

Both parties guilty of not putting much thought into who they trot out, more so the Republicans.
Kind of reminds me of UT rolling Dooley out late 2012 and Lyle in 2017. Makes me want to vomit.

Same reason why Warnock, Fetterman, etc will win close races. Crappy R candidates.

Is it really an overstatement in light of how Rubio also did statewide?

People think back and realize what would have happened during covid if a dem like Gillum was in office. I don't think you can overstate the effect of that but keep trying

This is what happens when you run weak candidates. Democrats can run someone who can’t even string together a coherent sentence and still win.

That’s how bad R candidates were.

This. It is really stunning. Record high inflation. Crime back to numbers we haven't seen in decades. Many have lost double digits in their 401K. Foreign policy is chaotic. The worst border crisis we've ever had.

You have to wonder who are these people voting for these clowns and if they are not impacted by any of these issues.

I do think weak candidates from the GOP side have something to do with it but in other cases the close House races were just enough for many of the democrats to hold on in some cases.
