Election Night (or days, or weeks, or whatever) 2022

If you make it a holiday most people will just use it as a vacation day and 4 day weekend beach trips. No federal or state holidays require employers to close/give a paid day off.

If you want people to vote AND have integrity.

1. Get rid of absentee ballots/mail in ballots for everyone except those away from home on .gov service.
2. Move the election to the first Thursday after April 15th.
3. Make election day a Thursday thru Sunday event with the poles open from 6am to 8pm. If you can't find a time to vote over 4 14 hour days then you just didn't want to vote.

And no I don't think you are sympathetic to the argument because you have never signed the front of a paycheck.

Has anybody brought up that you can't (at least as far as I know) buy lottery tickets by mail, yet people who want to buy them always find a way?

Or to buy groceries, or eat out, or go to work, or....like live life? You mean like that sort of inconvenience?

I will still disagree. He is an American and is entitled to free speech. Some people on the other side are never going to support him no matter how polite he is. I mean look at what many democrats are already saying about Desantis. Plus as far as I am concerned democrats threw professionalism out the window before and during his presidency.

Now I am a little bit skeptical about Trump. Especially considering the fact he never drained the swamp like he said. Someone needs to get into the White House and not surround themselves with establishment politicians. Which is what I think will happen if Desantis wins the presidency as well. Plus both of them were big advocates of the vax.

Nobody on the GOP side can drain the swamp; dems won't let that happen. Dems could drain the swamp, but they won't. The swamp is dem votes, and dems aren't about to give them up.

I will be honest I did not vote this time around. I was not excited to go vote for Bill Lee or Chuck Fleishman and there were really no third party or independent candidates that were worth voting for in my opinion either. And I sure as heck was not voting for any democrat here.

It's not like either was going to lose. The only thing really worthwhile on our ballot was the amendment on unions and clipping their wings.

Twitter called it and celebrated. They all had blue checks so it was assumed to be a done deal by the left. In the future they will pay 8 bucks a month to spew their misinformation.
Some triggered Dims are complaining about $8 but think it’s great the US (Xiden and friends) are laundering money to Ukraine.

You guys might want to hold a January 6 style storming of Mar-A-Lago and tell Trump he can’t run. Pretty sure Trump will take DeSantis down with him if they both run but Ron risks missing his moment if he doesn’t.

No he doesn't. Don't fool yourself. He would be a shoe-in for 2028 away. His governorship doesn't end until 2026. You just want to get him out the way or collide with Trump for the drama.

Yes, but both sides had voters voting for the 3rd party. Democrats leaning voters have abandoned it while the never Trumpers keep doing it.
Your right.....I'm all for 3rd party candidates..but at some point people need to realize you have to get the country in a better position for a 3rd party o emerge...right now....sadley 2016 trump was 3rd party under GOP name only.....Im starting to hope he doesn't run...to polarizing

He’s not likely to have momentum like this in 4 years. And what I want? Really? I regret to inform you that I don’t think Ron or his staff are on VN reading my posts for advice.
