These rings, in no way, represent the glory of losing. They are a symbol of the best basketball season UT has ever had.

Let me rephrase, for not winning a championship and being eliminated from a tournament. I'm as proud as anyone over making the Elite Eight, and that's why I spent a lot of money driving up there to watch them play in it.

We made Elite EIght rings?

This is almost as embarassing as the SEC East title rings of 2003.

They make rings for a variety of post season events. I lived across the street from the Leaks (Chris and CJ) here in Charlotte and after CJ transfered from Wake to UT I got to hang out with him for a bit apparently Wake had gotten rings for the bowl game they went to that season and he was showing it off. I don't think this is something that anyone should be embarassed about, the Elite 8 is a pretty big deal, I imagine they have rings just for making the tournament too.
