And op I will put a email together more detailed on what Hart did and how he has sealed the fate of this program for at least the next 6 years and I will share.

He's actually about 50% better than Dooley going on overall record and not factoring in relative level of competition but then again Dooley beat him head to head.

Ole Johnny had it right.

Legions of the Miserable.

Suck it up Vol fans, we have a coach now. At least he has a winning record, and is well respected in the coaching ranks.

It's not Jones' fault that the University of Tennessee is ran by a bunch baffling bafoons. He was no more qualified to be in charge of a football program of? this stature than Dooley was. Don't hate on Butch Jones. He just hit the lottery. Blame the Bammer and the Gator that are running the show and running this athletic department in the ground.

Give the guy a chance. He may not be what you wanted in a coach but I know he is 100% better than Dooley.

With him we would probably be 8-4 or 9-3 this year easy. The guy wins.

So suck it up and support the coach until he does something to deserve all this hate.

Hell yeah man, preach it!

My thing is forget Gruden this hire had to be a name a big name. Gruden said no so be it. But there were better names out there that would grab attention. Tennessee had to hire that guy. Not this guy he might be the best coach in the SEC. However with the way the SEC is now it won't matter. You have to have players in this league. And at best Jones will be what the 10th best recruiter in the league? If Tennessee was in another conference I would be running down the street with joy. However they are not, and without that name that can walk in to a living room and take recruits away frombthe big dogs. This program will stay where it is.

Tennessee's program should be able to sell itself. Facilities, tradition, expectations.

Nothing helps recruiting like winning though.

And at the 1st time CBJ beats FL, GA, SC, BAMA all the Nega Vols will come running! I wanted Gruden as much as anyone But it seemed he didn't want to leave his cushion job and I respect him for that. And out of the backup guys this is probably the more solid hire. He is a proven winner! I just can't believe the way some people act, you can't jump on CBJ all he done was take a job at a place he seems to love!

Although a lurker for a while, this is my first post here.

I experienced along side all of you, the wish for the miraculous hire.... whoever it was.

However, the comments of some of the "fans" pretty much left me disgusted.

The folks that dare insult a man just because he took a job are pathetic losers. Period.

I agree wholeheartedly with the OP. If you don't like this hire to the point of not wanting to support the team anymore, good riddance. I would love to personally put the University of Alabama bumper sticker on your car.

Also, if you were personally butt-hurt by the hiring of CBJ, you really need to get a mental evaluation. I am a huge UT fan, but I would never let it affect me the way it has affected some of you.

By the way, most of the folks I am talking about couldn't successfully coach a fish to a victory at a swimming tournament... and yet they (and their 67 average IQ) are now qualified as experts to advise a major university with a multi-million dollar budget on leadership. I can imagine most of these folks can't lead themselves off of their 1972 worn out couch in their trailer.

The bottom line is that it is football. If you let it have this much control over your life, you are a dolt. Plain and simple. Go eat Cheetos and drink cheap beer.

u can take a decent recruit 3 star or lower..and coach him right and coach were he can be a great player.
