‘23 EN TE Emmanuel Okoye (Tennessee commit)

I think you are making my point for me. Bold strategy.

I laughed. Perhaps you didn't understand my point, which is that there likely wasn't an announcement that looked like what I expect this one too.

Perhaps you did understand my point and you're just playing a character of "The Scoffer Kid." Either way, have a great day.

Nigeria began to be heavily influenced by British traders around 1800. It was a British colony from the mid 1800's until 1960. English became the normal and official language of Nigeria over around 500 native languages during that period.

That's why they sound British.

That was proven false on an episode of myth busters. Stop spreading false narratives.

If you are going to take a flyer on a player, at least let it be one that improves your recruiting rankings
It's just not quite enough to put us past them.

But still with what we are losing on the d-line after this year I like having another guy going into his second year in 24. And he has upside!

That might be one of the all-time dumbest comments on this board. And that is a very difficult club to become a member of. That exact type of thinking is how we ended up with so many paper-trophy recruits under Butch.

Okoye gradually discovered football, ironically, through a training facility called Educational Basketball that trains promising athletes in both football and basketball in Nigeria’s capital city of Lagos. Olutobi Adepitan, one of the two founders of the group along with his brother Isloupo, remembered Okoye’s impressive dunks from Instagram and convinced him to give football a try. Olutobi on his shocking first impressions of Okoye. "In January of 2022, he surprisingly showed up to work out. We put him through sprints, shuttle runs, and a 40 yard dash. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. He was probably the fastest athlete on the day, including our NFL International Player Pathway players. What he did in the 5-10-5 shuttle blew me away."

The 18-year-old went on to compete in a football camp put on by the NFL in Abuja, Nigeria where he stood out in more ways than one. "By the way, he did the whole camp without cleats. It was crazy. He ran the 40-yard dash in his socks and still blew everyone away. I couldn’t believe it… he finished a three day camp with no cleats."

Maybe I’m in left field here, but I took his post as “blue font”? Guess it wasn’t a good joke if so many missed it or this guy is indeed dumb.

No. My point is there is no big PR victory from getting a kid from the England NFL Academy. As of now they have 3 playing college ball, all at also-ran schools. So if we like him, take him but let's not plan a parade.
