Enemy of the People

The SS (Sarah Sanders) refuses to say the press is not the enemy of the people.

Sanders, Acosta in intense clash over Trump, press

I actually felt bad for her when Michelle Wolf ripped her a new one and when she was refused service at the Red Hen. Now, not so much.
I know I'm more than a year late to this post, but how does calling out the press justify you not having empathy for someone dining with their family and not getting served?

This is a PARENTS guide to talk to VERY YOUNG children. Do we really need to go into detail on the IRA and Quds Force with four and five year olds?

Members of this forum are also not the intended target audience.
Five year olds don't need to be told any detail about war, homosexuality, anal sex, transgender story hour etc.

It completely whitewashes that Iran did anything to provoke the US or did anything wrong at all since 1979!

Why don’t the U.S. and Iran get along?
The U.S. and Iran have a difficult relationship. It’s been this way for many years. In 1979, Iran took 52 American diplomats and citizens hostage. They were released after 444 days.

In 2018, tensions increased again after President Trump said the U.S. would no longer participate in a 2015 deal with Iran. This international agreement set strict limits for 15 years on Iran’s ability to create nuclear weapons. In return, the U.S. and countries in the European Union agreed to end trade restrictions. When Trump pulled out of the agreement, the U.S. put trade restrictions back in place. This has hurt Iran’s economy.

I mean come on - no mention what Soleimani has done other than saying "Trump has accused him of being a terrorist".
After getting absolutely shredded, that section of the story changed. It read this way before being edited.

Why are parents talking to very young children about war at all? Age appropriate for war discussions is after they can understand abstract concepts. They shouldn't be watching the news.

I agree, but with Uncle Comcast and Aunt Xbox doing so much of the child-rearing now, parents who don't know better are looking for someone to tell them how to interface with their children.

Idiocracy is upon us.

That's parenting mistake 101. Parents should be the arbiter of what enters their child's world up to a certain age.

Bham, you and people like you frustrate me to no end when it comes to the subject of Iran. Why do people like you, as intelligent as you are, always start the clock on US-Iranian tensions at 1979 instead of 1953?

If a very young child has that much anxiety and fear.... it is usually brought on by their parents

A few individuals being allowed to buy up all the media outlets was the biggest blow to freedom this country has seen. The press always had our back, simply because it was in their best interest to do so (competition). These deep state (long term government employees and multi-term politicians) had a hard time hiding their influence peddling. Now its almost too easy for them. The media split themselves into 2 groups with 1 agenda, divide the county in two groups and then pit them against each other. This makes news and easily fills their 24 hour cable time slots while providing cover for the politicians. While we are fighting each other, choosing sides against each other, they are all getting a free pass. No one is on our side here.

It’s been exponentially worsening since Obama repealed Smith-Mundt in 2012 and hid it in other legislation just like Nancy and Chuck just pulled off.

Bham, why do you always start the Iran/US relations in 1979 and not 1953?
