Enrique Davis

Davis visited Oregon this past weekend and loved it. Seeing as how the Ducks have a glaring opening at RB with the departure of Jonathan Stewart, Oregon would have to be considered a legit possibility. I really hope he comes in this weekend but if it comes down to early playing time, we never get him.

It will be UT or Ole Miss IMO. One teammate of his is looking at OM and Oregon and another (Coples) is looking at UT.

I thought so, too, and predicted it a few days ago.

However, the way he's glowing about Oregon and their facilities, I'm not too confident tonight.

if he decommited because of the spread being brought to Auburn...doesn't Oregon run the spread?

They do run the spread. But i don't think that's why he decommitted from Auburn though. There has to be something else.

"According to autigers.com and auburnsports.com, Davis is not sold on Auburn's new spread offense and plans to explore his options. He is visiting Ole Miss this weekend and is considering Florida State, Tennessee and Maryland."

Will Oregon have a QB to run the spread next year? He also has a better chance to go straight in and be the premier guy at Oregon than at Auburn or UT. He also has a teammate at Hargrave that he wants to play with in college and I think Oregon is the only team of the 4 to offer him.

I heard that Drayton was way up on Darrel Scott's list and he may be thinking UT. How does Davis compare to Scott?

Oregon may not even run a spread next year...the guy lined up for the starting role is a pocket guy more than a spread guy...the only reason they used the spread was because Dixon had a mediocre arm but great legs...i could definitely see a pro style offense at Oregon next year

The white guy running the spread against USF sure looked like he could handle the job of running the spread and he was a (rs)freshman

I'm pretty sure Ole Miss is recruiting him too.

Oregon's athletic facilities are second to none. I still think that the distance factor will keep him in the SEC in the end.

Per Volquest: Davis just returned from his official visit with Oregon. He said it was a great visit. He said he toured their awesome faclities and met the faculty members in his major. He also said he did not come close to commiting though.

He said he is excited to visit Tennessee next and couldn't wait to see how they would use him and learn everything about their program.

It also states he has briefly spoke with Quiton Coples about his visit at UT last weekend and plans to speak with him more when he gets a chance. They have both been real busy lately with their combine. He did say Coples told him he liked the visit a lot. Davis also said that him and Coples have discussed playing college football together and he wants to talk to Coples more about his UT visit.

I have a good feeling about both these guys. My guess is, whichever commits first, if either, the other will follow.

I don't think we get either of them, but getting one, or both, would be a great way to end this recruting year.
