This brings up a lot of questions I'd never given thought to:

Will they fly Hunter back to campus for his physical therapy, or do they have 24-hour access to every piece of healing equipment in Omaha?

If the team trainer brings all the equipment with them, where do they (and all the other teams) get to set up shop?

I believe the tape shows he suffered a high ankle sprain on the later at-bat’s strikeout swing. He was ambulating fine for a bit, then took a very weird twist of the ankle swinging on a super low, super inside pitch. Forced his fibula and tibia over the ankle pretty fast. Walked off with some immediate awkwardness, of which the limp got noticeably worse in the dugout.

Not a doctor. But would likely mean out for CWS. Praying I’m wrong. GBO.
I thought it might have happened on the swing too due to him playing a couple more innings and not noticing a limp but I wasn’t certain.

I hate being that guy, but I am very disappointed that a trainer did not go to him immediatley after that play. It was a very loud collision on tv, maybe it did seem that bad in person, but still dude ran in a brick wall with a couple inches of padding

Plenty of excellent healthcare and training facilities in Omaha and Council Bluff. I’m sure Tony, Danny, Donde and Randy will make whatever resources necessary, available.

I thought the same thing pretty much. Thought the injury was more so from the awkward swing than the wall incident.

“Vitello believes Ensley injured his hip on the play in which he recorded the first out in the top of the second inning.”

"Right after the catch I felt it," Ensley added. "We taped my leg up a little bit for my last at-bat. The range of motion just wasn't there then. I talked to coach Vitello. He said we really can't afford me not being able to go run down baseballs out there.“

And that folks, is why I'm not a doctor. Didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express, last night.

It's all crashing down on the Vols at the worst possible time. What else can go wrong? Injury to our CF then rain is likely Wednesday which negates some of our advantage in terms of rest. Waiting for food poisoning next.

"Kind of busted my leg on the wall a little bit," Ensley said. "I feel good. Right now, getting recovered. Going to meet with a trainer later. Get recovered up and be back for Wednesday."

"I'm willing to run into a wall for an out. I'll take that trade any day."

Legendary catch. Will be remembered for a long time to come.

Idk if they want to put him it low pressure air with the injury. I don't know what that would do to the healing.

Hotel room would be my guess, but great question. Would be interesting to know how they handle it
