New article good and bad spots for us in it....

I want to take my official visits early," said Gordon. "I haven't scheduled them yet, but I want to get those out of the way. I would like to visit Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama and Miami. Then again, these are my official visits and I may go to some places far away. I have been to Tennessee a ton of times already and can go there any time.

eh come on give us an official

and.... "Tennessee is probably recruiting me the hardest. I have talked to Coach Fulmer a few times lately and I talk to all of their defensive coaches. They have made me a priority."

goes on to say he will take officials and make a late decision

I don't think that's neccessarily bad for us. He's just being honest. Like I said in an earlier post, my buddy's son goes to Hillsboro and he's heard his son say that Eric is leaning towards us. Again, I don't know how accurate that is but, better us than Bama.

If he wants a space on any of those teams then he might want to think about an earlier decision. Does UT really have room if they get McGee on Monday?

gordon definately is not a tennessee lean. That said, its no big loss. Look at Hillsboro's schedule. They play MBA,Franklin and thats it. A school as big as they are has no place playing 10 "county" schools.

yeah...I've actually thought that before. That's something you definitely have to look at.

he also mentions that Bama seems to want him to return kicks.

By A Bone. Gordon hasn't narrowed things down yet, but says he is most comfortable with Oklahoma, Miami, Alabama and Tennessee. He will take all of his visits before making a choice.

he also mentions that Bama seems to want him to return kicks.

Bama told Chris Jordan last year that he could return kicks as well.
I guess that is Bamas Mid Tn recruiting mantra - "come here and return kicks"

Gordon is taking his first official visit to Texas Tech this weekend for the Texas game.
May just be a free trip to a big game.

If I am not mistaken, Gordon was the #1 2009 prospect in TN this time last year. Missing on the Memphis kids is acceptable due to distance and proximity to other SEC schools. However this kid has been on the radar for 2 years now and should've been locked down already. Thank God for DJ Hunter, cause he will probably be the best db we get this class. I could see us wiffing on all 3 of our best db prospects in Gilmore (USCe), Gordon, and Myles since Bama is needing dbs and recruiting them hard.

I know for a fact Saban called Kevin Cooper and told him he'd carry the football at Alabama

saban has told gordon he'll start on offense, defense and return kicks his freshman year.

thats what saban does...he lies...thats his how recruiting strategy...lies

but somehow he gets these kids to believe him...and not to hate him when they find out its a lie

how saban doesn't have a team full of players that resent him is beyond me.
