If Tennessee had a walk on - somebody who wasn’t considered good enough to be recruited and had to start at a lower division school - who began his tenure at UT way down the depth chart but didn’t care because he bled Orange and was from a family of rabid Tennessee fans but then through hard work, persistence and heart, ended up not just in the starting lineup but being a team leader that led the Vols to a national championship, a conference championship and into a second national championship game he would be a Vol legend. And opposing team’s fans would hate him.

Add D'Wan Mathis and Jamie Newman to that list of guys Bennett beat out. He was almost a last resort in 2020. Their track record with QBs is odd to say the least. Same thing happened with Jake Fromm ending up playing over Jacob Eason and Justin Fields. You can't argue with success, but it's strange how the position has worked out since Kirby arrived.

Bennett sucks. As far as out playing Stroud thats laughable. For 1 thing Stroud was killing UGA until they decided to take a cheap shot on Harrison. 2 Bennett didn't have to face the UGA defense. He wont be drafted the dude is a ***** clown. Ainge may be a clown also, not disputing that. It is competely and utterly insane that Bennett got invited to New York. Take that weak ass jock holding back to where you came from troll

I came to the conclusion that Bennett is a douchebag long before the brouhaha of his phone number getting out to the fans.

100 percent with Ainge on his comments.

He doesn't like the guy either. Didnt question his ability just his attitude and the fact he keeps getting propped up as an underdog despite being the QB for the defending national champion.

Put Hooker on this years Georgia team and they get the same results, probably even better.

You’d have to be incredibly bad to underachieve with that much offensive talent.

Whatever. Crying about injuries like bammers. If you prepare your backups in games during the seas you don’t have to cry about injuries when they go down. Instead of a goal to set wr and qb records try to prep your back ups. Worked nicely for Ga. not so good for OsU and Bama.
Bet you watch him win the MVP on Monday.
