Here will be Heather's answer "any other game except maybe the Iron Bowl we look at this as 2 monster programs (OSU/Michigan) going at each other, in this case with a few certain teams we just look at it different". Its a good loss not bad at all.For comparison, here are recent instances where teams lost on the road and where they fell the following week:
TN lost at Georgia - from #7 to #11
IU lost at OSU - from #5 to #10
Miami lost at GaTech - from #4 to #9
These were all road losses and the teams dropped 4-5 spots. TN and IU had road losses to ranked teams. OSU team favored by 3 TDs lost to unranked Michigan at home… the committee should should absolutely drop them at least 6-7 spots… but they won’t.

On SECN she said on Miami she said the committee love Cam Ward and they have resiliently won some close games. Not mentioning controversial win vs V Tech that should be an L. This committee is terrible. I'm happy for the 12 team playoff but the DEI committee and their giving low SOS Conferences auto bid and byes is just frustrating
Should be Tennessee hosting Ohio State. With their latest projections they have Ohio State at 6 and us at 7. That would have them as the last team hosting and us going on the road to Columbus.
Their reasoning is that Ohio State has 2 “statement” wins- Penn State and Indiana while we only have 1.
I’m happy with going to whip them at their place- just wild how ESPN is trying to justify the masses towards them.
(I realize a lot can and will change- but they dropped 6 spots with their first loss last year. Now losing at home to a .500 team they think they should only drop 4)
If the committee leader doesn’t take advantage of Ohio State, then we can assume that the Big 10 and NCAA have Michigan by the balls over sign stealing. In that case the SEC needs to put their foot down. Here’s to hoping the committee leader from the team up north gets in one last punch in the postgame fight ..

I believe as most of do that the vols are better than penn state. I understand them being ranked higher because of only one loss. Assuming Oregon beats them, I expect them to fall below us in the playoffs. It’s possible a 3 loss Georgia might fall below us or a two loss Texas,. I believe penn state dropping is probable, while Texas or Georgia loss would be possible, depending on the scoreWe're going to get screwed regardless. Last week they had us playing Georgia in Athens. This week, they'll have us playing Ohio State and the only question is whether it's home or away.
Silly that Penn State (and Miami before their loss) is above us. Penn State has only played 2 teams worth a damn all season, both at home, and they went 1-1 against them. Our win against Bama at home is more impressive than anything on PSU's resume. Honestly, our road wins against Oklahoma and Vanderbilt are probably more impressive than Penn State's best win (vs Illinois at home).
FPI has us at #7 and Penn State at #9.
Hopefully if PSU loses to Oregon, they fall below us, but I see no reason they should be above us now.
I do not think their two statement wins are all that good. Ohio St was a big favorite at HOME against Michigan and they got beat scoring only 10 points. Put Indiana and Penn St in the SEC they would be a .500 teamWith their latest projections they have Ohio State at 6 and us at 7. That would have them as the last team hosting and us going on the road to Columbus.

Of course Penn State and Indiana haven't beaten anyone worth a crap. What I love is this year they will get the chance to prove they belong. It'll depend on matchups but it wouldn't shock me to see both lose in round 1.
