On a more serious note, Ziti why the hate for the 247 composite? I know it’s becoming more popular for football, but I’m curious to hear what y’all prefer in basketball and why.

Not Ziti but I know the answer and agree...

It works well if the recruit is ranked by all services, but because ESPN only goes to 100 and Rivals 150 it makes it very inaccurate for guys not ranked by those services.

I’d take it a step further. It works well on guys that are consensus. Any time there’s a big difference it throws it off. I’ve also seen it when it makes zero sense.

I remember fulk was a composite 4* and had 3* rankings across the board.

Essentially it’s a crock used to drive traffic to their site. It’s not reliable.

247 also employs Wes Rucker if you need more reason to dislike them.

Also the services put out so many updates that 247 can’t keep up.

Not to mention ESPN is terrible and now 247 owns scout. There’s no need for a composite.
