Espn doing their thing against Tennessee again

The only P12 team I'm worried about is USC. Their only loss is a 1 point road loss to Utah. Notre Dame will likely be ranked when they play USC, so the Trojans could finish the season with wins over UCLA (ranked), ND (ranked), and Oregon (highly ranked). In that scenario, I think the P12 conference championship is enough to put them in over Tennessee.
I think any 1-loss P12 champ is getting in, that includes UCLA.

Maybe so, especially if the conference championship game is a matchup of top ten teams... which seems likely. Guess we should just be rooting for a TCU loss.

Tennessee is still in a good spot. ESPN is just trying to get some Tennessee hate clicks.
Just give it a couple weeks...still blood in the water from our poor showing. We completely throttled LSU and they're not even completely out of the conversation w/ 2 losses. In 2-3 weeks people will forget the score could have been much worse. Need a bit of help, but we're fine if we win out.

They got Oregon ahead of US. LMAO UGA could have scored 80 points if they wanted to. Oregon plays in a crappy conference and the one big game they played they got skull dragged. Yeah they beat UCLA but The Bruins are Fools Gold.

The article is doing its own share of spinning. Herbstreit gave a current poll. Michigan or tOSU will lose and fall. Oregon is less likely to win out than UT. TCU is unlikely to win out.

I think there are folks like Dinich who will do their best to keep UT out. UT needs some help to keep them from succeeding. That starts with UGA winning the SEC CG. UT could use a TCU loss as well.

yea, TCU loses, USC and Oregon both lose one more, the OSU/Michigan game is a 40 point rout and Georgia wins out…we could be sitting at #3 if we win out impressively.

If if comes down to two SEC teams and two Big 10 teams, they will adjust the rankings so it’s not SEC vs SEC and Big 10 vs Big 10 in the semifinal games

I quit watching espn a long time ago. I watch games on mute.

I quit watching any sports programming other than games, and talk radio as well about 15 years ago. Never felt more knowledgeable once I stopped allowing media hacks try to tell me what I should think and believe. I strongly recommend it.

I can't wait for the ESPN lovers on here to come in and tells us how ESPN doesn't plot against TN. Wake up people. How many times do you need to get kicked in the nuts before you realize someone doesn't like you? ESPN will campaign for us to be left out of the playoffs. They would have a fit if we won the NC.

I don't think the tOSU v Michigan game has to be that big of a blow out. In fact, I could see a scenario with two SEC teams and two Big 10 teams. If I'm being perfectly honest... that might very well be "justice" this particular season. The Big 12 and ACC outright suck. There are no G-5 teams that belong. And a Pac12 team would need to impress... starting with USC beating ND convincingly. Oregon has a "romantic" appeal to voters for some reason but they serve as proof along with Utah of how the Pac12 compares to the SEC this year. Utah who lost to a middling at best UF team plays Oregon this week. If they win then they're very likely to play in the Pac12 CG.

If UGA and tOSU look like the "top" right now then UT looks like a team that would be favored against most if not all of the rest.

Like I wrote in another post, to me this is UT playing with house money. I don't think anyone seriously expected UT to come this far, this fast. I was looking for 9 regular season wins. Many said 8. I believe more said less than 8 than more than 9. It would be silly to be disappointed with a NYD6 bowl and a one loss season after where UT has been for the past 15 years... but really the past 20 years.

I think you are looking at UT in a vacuum when we have to look at them in comparison to everyone who is not UGA. In that light, they may still be one of the 4 best teams in CFB right now.

I suggested the OSU/Michigan game be a blow out just to eliminate the loser but if everything else falls into the place it won’t matter. But a nail bitter OSU/Michigan game plus either TSC or Oregon running the table could leave the Vols at #5 regardless of how we do against the 3 cellar dwellers we have left.

Not something I’m gonna worry about - things will work out one way or another. I just want us to finish strong with an 11-1 record.

She thinks a 1 loss sec wouldn't get in but a 2 loss Lsu team is realistic that's crazy
Dinich is a big ten homer. Nothing here to see folks. Just because an irresponsible network gives someone a microphone that doesn’t mean you listen to her

Dinch was just on sportscenter talking about how Tennessee could still get in. So I think she doesn’t think we are out just yet

Look at where the ESPN GameDay shows go, often times it is located where the 3:30 CBS telecast is from, ESPN provides the rails for the SEC Network, but more and more ESPN is on the outside of the SEC world looking in and that is why they come up with these anti SEC narratives, i.e. Auburn coach hire, Tennessee CFP sneak in, they get a noon game and a 7:00 game, but otherwise, they are showing SEC highlights just like the SEC Network.

ESPN is ga-ga over all Pac 10 schools and especially Oregon with that obnoxious Neil Everette fawning over every duck play. On the other hand, we did look pathetic Saturday against Georgia---wasn't close I agree. Ohio St has not looked that good this year and the game with Michigan will take one of them out, so there is room for us to slide into the playoffs if we win out and not struggle along the way. I also think TCU will lose to either Texas or Kansas

Heather Dinich is a hack. If you’ve ever listened to her on ESPN radio, you know she’s bad. And not cause she’s a woman, she’s just bad.
Honestly I’m trying to figure out what she brings to the table for her to have that job? I’m at a loss. Of course idk what most commentators on espn bring to the table.

1. Win out. Beat Missouri, USCe, and Vandy

2. Everything else will take care of it’s self. Way too much football left to worry about anything but winning out.

If Oregon wins the pac12 with 1 loss, they will be in. TCU if undefeated. Michigan/Ohio State loser will be head to head with us for the last spot.

I've said from the beginning that Herbie is a cuck... And the rest of the yankee loving ESPN look for any reason to discredit TN. F' EM we have to win out... convincingly to stifle the butt lovers at espn
