If you have four quarterbacks you don't have one. Gibson is our qb of the future. Worley will be a pretty good game manager.
I understand what this saying means. It's basically if you can't settle on one guy, if one guy isn't clear cut #1, that you have a problem with instability and performance. However, I also think in some cases it's a flawed statement. I think it's possible to have 2 QBs who are ready to start and play well and that once you choose one guy to start that you still can have a quality backup provide depth and step in without skipping a beat for the most part. Not saying that's necessarily what we have, just stating the concept. A quick example within the history of our program would be Manning and Martin. Peyton was clearly the guy in '97....Martin became the guy in '98 and played QB on a national championship team. This shows that we had 2 very good QBs on the roster at once and that either would've been very successful, although Peyton was clearly better. A statement of "if you have more than 1 QB you don't have any QBs" definitely didn't apply here.
