Over/Under 7 threads asking Bama fans if they think we are their biggest rival

Just doesn't seem that appealing to me. The rivalry is great, but it doesn't seem like it fits with the other 30 for 30 documentaries at all. Auburn helping with cleaning up after a tornado is a nice story, but it hardly makes for a quality documentary, IMO.

I have to agree. Compared to what the other 30 for 30's have been about, this one just seems... off.

I still have to say, outside of Murderball, they are the best sports documentaries I have ever seen.

I've read from a few reliable journalists who saw it on early release that said it's kind of boring and just drags on.

I'll still watch it because it's the SEC, but I'm not expecting it to be one of the better docs.

What is everyone's favorite 30 for 30?

Mine was The 2 Escobars. And I don't even like soccer.

I would rather watch an hour-long documentary about hemorrhoid surgery than an ESPN fluff piece about how awesome football is in Alabama.

I'll likely watch it. Try to watch as many of these as possible. Haven't watched a lot, but I've usually like what I've seen.

Definitely need to watch the one about Marcus Dupree and the one about the Yugoslavian basketball players.

One on Marcus Dupree was incredible. Escobars is a must watch, and the Steve Bartman one was amazing.

If you can't stomach Paul Finebaum, you definitely shouldn't watch this one.

Marcus Dupree was really great, as was the Ricky Williams one. Haven't seen Escobars. Really, the only one I saw and didn't particularly care for was the one on Vlade Divac.

Everyone I know who has seen it seems to share that opinion.

Escobars is a must watch
Seen it and love it. I'm a huge soccer fan and knew all about Andres Escobar and the own goal before watching it.

It was an interesting yet tragic story with enough lighthearted moments sprinkled in to make it outstanding.

and the Steve Bartman one was amazing.
I think that could have been an hour long, to be honest, but it was still worth watching.

The series has been great because:
a) it has typically covered stores people don't know too much about.
b) it has normally been about stories from a while ago.
c) the documentaries have had great interviews from people involved.

This is why I don't think this Iron Bowl documentary doesn't fit.

Does anyone really want to see an annoying radio show host talk about his idiot callers or listen to an inbred hick brag about killing trees?

And some guys from Auburn helping clean up Tuscaloosa after a tornado is a nice story, but hardly worthy of putting in a documentary.

I'll watch it. These things are usually good. I watched the preseason alabama training camp stuff. Saban rockin' those 70's shorts with that crazy hat. Ha good stuff

I'll probably try to watch it, too. I don't think this will be the best, but it's about a great rivalry in SEC football. Worth a chance.

They need to work on the tag line, "what if I told you" doesn't work for everything.

My favorites in no particular order:

The U
Pony Excess
The Band that Wouldn't Die
Jimmy the Greek
Into the Wind
Marcus Dupree was outstanding
Unguarded (Chris Herren) was outstanding as well

ESPN has done an amazing job with these. I may not be completely in love with the story, but almost all of them have been well told and produced.

Hmmm.... I don't think they are calling them 30 for 30s anymore, are they? The Steve Bartman one was never advertised as a 30 for 30 film that I saw.

I just assumed they were done with the 30 for 30s and I missed like 60% of them.
