Surprisingly, it was very well produced. I liked the last bit about the Tuscaloosa Tornado. I never knew the long snapper lost his girlfriend to the tornado. Very sad

I have lived in bamaland for the past 30 some odd years! It sums it wonderfully! I see it every day!

Well said OV. I've lived in Alabama, my family is from Alabama, and a lot of people dont understand this, but it is the greatest rivalry in all of sports.

That was a great show, a little too much focus on the drama, but still hit the mark.

BTW, I hope Harvey Updyke burns in hell.

I really enjoyed it.

I have to admit, being new to the SEC (I've only lived in Tennessee for two years, the previous 30 in Texas), and not really knowing that much about the rivalry, I found it to be a great documentary. I thought A&M/Texas was a big deal...now I'm beginning to realize it's not nearly as fervent as 'Bama/Auburn.

My only criticism...I would have given no exposure to Updyke.

The fact that Updyke was featured so much is ridiculous. The guy is a criminal and ESPN was building him up like he was just an intense fan. Takeo Spikes saying war f-ing eagle and Bo Jackson's comments about Alabama accusing Auburn of cheating were gold.

I can't believe Updyke is still denying it. It's not like he just made a threat, he actually commented on the type of pesticide used. Does anyone think that inbred hick would have actually known the type of pesticide that was if he hadn't actually used it?

After watching it last night, we realized that my son and some of his friends were actually shown. From a distance, they had went to the flag football game that shown and you could see them in the stands. The only regret my son has is that he didn't wear a UT shirt so he would stick out more!

He's trying not to go to prison. Pretty good reason for him not to say, "Yes, I poisoned the trees at Toomer's Corner."

He's apologized very publicly without saying he did it, though.

Agree with poster about that psycho Updyke being featured too much. Instead of prison he should be sentenced to a lifetime of cleaning toilets at Jordan-Hare while wearing Auburn gear using a toilet brush that says 'roll tide' on it.

Same, I was expecting a blurb or a minute or so about Updyke, but he took up about a third of the whole program. Didn't care for it, one of the weaker 30 for 30 films.

I don't mind naming your kid after the coach...

but naming your daughter after the team nickname? Come on.

It was decent. The part about the tornado at the end was a mood killer. Should have left it out.

As for someone who lives down, first off my house was not damaged, but having several people that lost their homes in my area, that was the best part of the film IMHO! It didn't matter who you pulled for on April 28th. Why they even excepted help from one Oldvol.

I agree.

I was just laughing at Harvey Updyke on the Finebaum Show, and then literally 2 seconds later it shifted to the long snapper losing his girlfriend.

I really enjoyed the film last night.

Sidenote: I literally could not stop laughing at Updyke, the biggest Alabama redneck fan I have ever seen. He had some gems for quotes last night.

Oh & Cam cracking the big smile when asked about being paid. Yea he got paid whether the NCAA found anything or not.

I caught a replay of it in progress tonight on ESPNU, and they were discussing Toomer's Corner, when suddenly they cut to the MAC game, to make room for PSU on the mother ship.

Anyone know where can I watch/ catch up on previous 30 for 30 / ESPN films presents?

there's some I missed that I would like to see

Was funny how what they were doing in the stands motivated Cam to go off in the second half. If a recruit watches that documentary it may give them pause about going to bamer.

This is the best thing ESPN has ever done. They gave too much air time to Harvey, but he's pretty representative of the streetcorner
Bama fans you find in the state.

"Unless you've lived it, what I'm telling you is just the tip of the iceberg, and its a biga$$ iceberg." Bo Vincent Jackson

I lived in Huntsville for 8 years, went to several Iron Bowls in Birmingham. I've been to a couple in Auburn and its just not the same, but
its still pretty intense. And I still hate Alabama almost as much as the Auburn people do.

"Alabama accusing Auburn of cheating is like Snooki telling Halle Berry she's ugly. Are
you kidding me?" Sir Charles :eek:lol:
