Who won the Poland-Greece match? I'm at work and it got busy here in the middle of the match. Last I saw it was 1-1.

Fortunately I've caught every goal from the Russian side this afternoon. They're certainly looking like the best team in the group.

Also, Casey Keller sucks. He twice mentioned the Sounders... In a tournament in which they don't even have any players. What a tool.

Rocking the orange in honor of the Netherlands today. It's unfortunate that they're in the same group as my favorite European team, though (Germany).

God that sucked. The goal was the result of a fluke bounce and Heitinga subsequently blew it, then Robben and Van Persie couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Holland should have been able to tie if not take it 2-1.

I'm used to seeing Robben choke. One of the most overrated players in the world.

Netherlands has 32 shots and couldn't get one goal out of it.

Shze Dutch may well be screwed. No excuse to be that loaded at the front of the lineup and get blanked, even if it's against a defense as good as Denmark's (and they do have a legit defense).

What an absolute catastrophe for the Dutch today. They're basically eliminated and the tournament is only in its second day. When last we saw them on the big stage they played a dead heat with Spain for 115 minutes in the WC final. They basically blew through qualifying without a hitch, but then to lose to a team as sh*tty as Denmark is both inexplicable and inexcusable. With that defense things could get UGLY against both Germany and Portugal.

BREAKING NEWS! Arjen Robben just fired in ANOTHER shot from the corner of the 18 that missed the goal by at least 10 feet. :banghead2:

They need to bench Robben and start both Van Persie and Huntelaar. With their defense, they're basically going to have to score a crap ton of goals... Not entirely impossible with what we saw from Germany and Portugal today.

True. A draw between those two would have completed a worst case scenario day for the Dutch. They HAD to have one of those teams lose, but really needed the Germans to put a goal or two more on Portugal. It's still an almost impossible road with a loss to Germany looming, they'll have to absolutely destroy Portugal and hope that they can get through with 3 points on goal differential.

In all honesty, even though it goes against everything Dutch football is supposed to be, they might should entertain the idea of parking the bus against Germany and PRAYING for a 0-0 draw or a 0-1 loss, and then hope they can make something happen against Portugal.

Maybe. Dutch defense was week on the sides, and Portugal's wing play is obviously magnificent. Germany could manage to keep Ronaldo from getting too many touches, not so sure the Dutch will be able to do the same.

I get physically ill thinking about Willems guarding Ronaldo or Nani. They almost would be better served putting De Jong at that left back spot and subbing in Van Der Vaart at mid next to Van Bommel. Not that De Jong could keep up with one of those guys but at least he might break one of their legs.

J/k. Sort of.

With nani, maybe. Ronaldo can beat any defender on the planet. The best you can hope to do is try and keep him from getting the ball in the first place

I can't wait for all of the ape/monkey chants.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I think if there were ever a player to make good on his talk to the media, Balotelli would have to be the guy that is crazy enough to come through. Hopefully there won't be any incidents.

Someone correct if I'm wrong but I've heard that goal difference is not the first tiebreaker. Anyone have an idea what it would be then?
