Calling balls, strikes, strikes balls .... very inconsistent. Killed an ECU rally in the 9th with his inconsistent strike zone IMO.

Evansville didn't exactly crank out a ton of HRs in the regular season, but they sure did in regional play. Only we have hit more than them. They don't have a good team ERA, but their #1 guy went 8 innings against ECU on Friday and gave up 1 run on 3 hits.

In the Super Regionals, you're either going up against someone who's really good and/or really hot. We'll need to come to play.

Ridiculous that the NCAA tried to “reward” our #1 overall seed by sticking 2 of the 3 best pitchers in the country in our super pairing. But neither one got through.

Evansville has beaten quite a few very good teams this year. They are no pushover by any means. Should be a competitive Super Regional, but I think we take it to the CWS. Certainly better than 2022 when we played a very good, very hot Notre Dame team.

We'll have to hear about them being the Cinderella story of the tournament, but.... the 4th seed out of the #16 host site? Clearly they can play, but I like our chances of taking 2 of 3 at home.

I’ll face hot over good with most of a week break between the games every time. They can cool off between now and Friday, good stays good.

Actually, the NCAA tried to get Wake (and Chase Burns) or ECU to Knoxville. The baseball gods chastised the NCAA and said, “nope, ain’t allowing this.” The Purple Aces and baseball gods prevailed.
