Nah, they didn't plan this result. This was unexpected. Then again.....we do have a rather suspect record when it comes to Cinderellas in other sports like basketball. Wonder if this is one of those super duper 8d chess moves on the NCAAs part. Might have been the plan from the beginning and we'll be lulled into a false sense of security against what we perceive as an inferior foe. Those dirty, sneaky rats done pulled a fast one on us didn't they? Sum beeches tricked us.As the #1 overall seed, it’s appropriate for UT to have the easiest path to the CWS.
NCAA actually got something right this time.
Anything can happen in baseball .... but it's hard to see us losing 2 out of 3 to Evansville at home with so much at stake. This is definitely the most confident I have ever felt about Tennessee's chances in a Super Regional. I remember being worried about Notre Dame in 2022. This feels completely different. An easier path, yes probably. An easy path? Who knows.

State of Indiana has some really decent ball clubs this year - I believe IU, Indiana St., and Evansville made the tourney. Also, Purdue and ND were both in the conversation the final weekend before selections.
That said, UE will be running on high emotions and I hope our men don't play into that stay in their game.
The 22 team was very emotional. Also, everything came relatively easy to them (not taking anything away from how hard they practiced and worked but they weren’t challenged very much on the field). They didn’t handle the pressure and adversity in the super regional very well. This team seems to be different. Cut from a different cloth. I haven’t compared the stats but I just get the feel that anyone WILL step up at any time when needed, not as dependent on the top of the order or starting pitchers.State of Indiana has some really decent ball clubs this year - I believe IU, Indiana St., and Evansville made the tourney.
