For the second time in Vols history, they head into the Supers as the number one overall seed in the tournament,

2022 #1 Tennessee faces a team from Indiana
2024 #1 Tennessee faces a team from Indiana.
State of Indiana has some really decent ball clubs this year - I believe IU, Indiana St., and Evansville made the tourney. Also, Purdue and ND were both in the conversation the final weekend before selections.

That said, UE will be running on high emotions and I hope our men don't play into that stay in their game.

I might be in the minority here, but I believe the NCAA pretty much got it right in setting up the ECU regional. If the committee were to actually use an S-Curve (I know they don't), then you would expect that regional to have the best 2 seed and the best 4 seed. I think most would agree that the scariest 2 seeds out there were Wake, LSU, Mississippi St, and Duke. With geography a factor, it made sense for either Wake or Duke to show up there.

On the other hand, Georgia got the 2 seed that we should have gotten. It made no sense other than for a storyline for Southern Miss, a top 25 team, to be in the overall 1 seed's regional.

The greatest upset in college baseball history was Fresno State winning the whole thing.

This would be #2. Don’t let it happen, boys. Let’s take care of business.

Thing that gets me about drawing Evansville is the 11 seniors, coupled with never making it to supers before in school history. They could have, maybe should have lost the game today, but they hit a 3 run shot, their 10th homerun on the weekend.

I assume we are visitors again correct? Friday night game 7th June and Saturday night 8th June game....beat Evansville 2 of 3 and no Sunday game. Then we head to Omaha with wins and a lot of rest?

They never give up. They were 9-15 back at the end of March.

We get home for the first game and away for the second. I believe 3rd game is a coin flip

I actually thought Coastal Carolina winning it all was more so than Fresno because California has been historically strong in lesser-known teams like Fresno, UCSB Pepperdine, San Diego and on and on.
