Even With the Win --- Just Another Poorly Officiated Game

Absolutely trash. Don’t let @BigOrangeTrain see this though. His daddy is a ref and he will get very angry 😡
Let honey angry as it was a 💩 show. I vouch for officiating every weekend and tell folks to stop whining about refs. But last nt in UGA game and ours, today?

They called false start on us when D lineman was in neutral zone. Also, the roughing the passer. There was a face mask called on lineman for his hand to brazing Diego’s fax mask. Ok, no problem. But nothing was called when Nico’s face mask was touched by Vandy lineman.

Not sure how the CFP will set up for officiating, but it may not make a difference.
It should always be a concern and now an officiating crew could be classified as an unknown variable to the game.
We have witnessed bias calls and incompetent calls in our game as well as others.
It is as if the game has gotten away and too fast for the crews.
Games like ours today contribute to injuries as well.
I watch a lot of football and the cameras do catch what Refs do not, but something needs to done to catch missed calls. For example, ND player punch an USC player intentionally in the helmet while he was on the ground. This is bull crap.
Officiating for the CFP as will it will for the bowl games need to be able to hold officials accountable during or after the game.
One thing I won’t allow myself to do is gripe about the officiating because I feel it all evens out in the end. HOWEVER, today there were calls that were atrocious and blatantly terrible calls. I know nothing will be done but I do hope the refs are at least embarrassed in front of their piers in a film room.

This was a really really bad officiated game. One of the worst I have seen this year. I don't know how the NCAA and conferences fix it, but it needs some attention desperately. It is ruining games.

Yup. I don’t get why people vouch for terrible officiating. Just like open your eyes. It’s plain bad. It’s not making “excuses”. It’s bull ****. Terrible officiating can impact games and it has all over the country this year. It’s unacceptable.

It is not just this game. LSU - USCe, AL vs OK, GA vs GA Tech, and many more. It has gotten where the game is just too fast for the number of Refs on the field.
Plenty of games did not see the OSU - Michigan game and watched some of the ND - USC and there is a problem with officiating in general and consistency.
Something needs to change to improve the Game.
I don't normally gripe about officiating either, but just looking at the GA game. Tennessee's coaching staff has some cleaning up to do but the officials need to do so as well.

There were multiple live ball fouls against the opponent today including offensive holding and pass interference. Wasn't that long ago those types of calls weren't being made in multiple consecutive games. Be grateful for what we did get

Nobody is vouching for it. But it’s dumb to call it out EVERY SINGLE GAME we start out slow or play bad. Officiating sucks in every game. But fans like you out so much blame on officiating it’s pathetic. The refs suck in college and the NFL. We have to deal with it. Stop using it as an excuse for everything that goes bad for us.

It is also happening at the high school level. I see articles every day about how X vs Y officials make/miss crucial call that changes the outcome of the game.

This may have been the worst officiating call of the year.

Aren’t these full time jobs? Don’t these guys earn 6 figures for weekend travel and work?

EDIT: Oops I couldn’t have been more wrong. SEC officials are part time and earn $2500 - .$4000 per game (per ChatGPT).

Maybe that’s the issue?
They can make a lot more than that swaying the games the way organized crime wants the games to go.

We call out bad officiating when there’s bad officiating. We were still calling it out when we’re blowing them out Einstein. You’re just too dumb to comprehend it

And no we don’t “have to deal with it”. Be vocal. Maybe it won’t change. But it’s dumb as hell to just “accept it”. If the person making my Big Mac sucks at their job they’re getting fired. Period. Refs should be no different.

Football and Men’s hoops need full time salaries officials. Especially with the revenue sharing money and realignment money that’s pouring into the league.
Agree, as long as none of the current officials are hired.

Officials will always be the scape goat when penalties cannot be overturned or challenged . Or holding can be called when they want it to be called . Vagas can control games .

You give them too much credit. It’s simply blind incompetence.
Nobody is that incompetent. It would also be naive to believe that organized crime has not got its tentacles all over the "legalized" sports betting industry. As odd as it sounds, fixing games through sports gambling is much more respectable than running drugs.
