Even With the Win --- Just Another Poorly Officiated Game

It's been 65 years since I saw my first college football game. I don't remember a time when officiating wasn't an issue. Now with as many as 24 HD cameras covering big games every mistake is caught and magnified. Given the speed of the game today no there's no way 7 officials keep can up with 22 moving parts while some of them have to have their eyes on the football. Then throw in a healthy number of judgement calls and it's easy to see why we are where we are. How do we fix it? Hell, I don't know.

Watching the calls last night, I concluded during the game that the fix was in- knock the Vols off and Bama would be next team in.

Something really pissed him off. Not sure what but he was upset. His mom was above us in the stands; she was pretty livid as well. Not sure if something was said or if someone went low on him or what.
Her baby boy went full bull mode. Hopefully he is in a good mental state in the playoffs.

I absolutely agree. Watching the replay, it was obvious that he wasn't guilty of a horse collar tackle. His top hand was on the shoulder pads, not even close to the neck of the jersey. One I haven't seen mentioned, the time false start was called on Tennessee, the defensive player jumped into the neutral zone and caused the right guard to react. The same thing happened to other times later in the game, and both times they called offsides against the defense.

And even the official in the booth said it was clearly offsides. Just pathetic and incompetent, incredible that it is allowed to go on at this level. Unless that's actually the plan.

Same! On that long td to Thornton, matthews had an unnecessary peal back block, and I couldn’t believe they didn’t call it.
That was a completely legal block, the only problem I had at the time was he might have picked the wrong dude to block. Didn't matter nobody was catching Thornton.

We call out bad officiating when there’s bad officiating. We were still calling it out when we’re blowing them out Einstein. You’re just too dumb to comprehend it

And no we don’t “have to deal with it”. Be vocal. Maybe it won’t change. But it’s dumb as hell to just “accept it”. If the person making my Big Mac sucks at their job they’re getting fired. Period. Refs should be no different.
For heavens sake leave him alone, he's busy firing Heupel and replacing Nico because of the Vandy first quarter.
