Evina Comment

You spelled "Diamond" wrong.

If Evina leaves and Holly is still coaching, will you spell Diamond "J-O-R-D-A-N"? Likely. Then Holly can say in the press conference how she doesn't know why all her players suck.

She never has any answers at the post game press conferences. As far as I’m concerned, there is very little activity going on in that head of hers. Which explains why nothing has changed over the course of the year.

We all know for a FACT Evina is not the problem. She will be here next year. And starting where she should be.

I’m just curious about her comments post game. Who she’s referring to as far as things need to be changed. Seasons over for the girls so I feel like it’s going to come out.
I am not so sure she’s coming back.

Only reason she is still been backed is because she was a former Lady Vol and has ties to the program if it were any other person they would have been long fired. There is no reason why Evina should be getting attacked for her comments when it is the truth then again some people can't handle the truth.
It’s not that she told the truth, it’s the fact that those comments needed to be made to the AD and not in the media

What happened was we ate all our cupcakes first and our tummies were overstuffed with junk when the veggies came around. You're right, in January we hit the SEC. That's what happened.

I had so hoped things wouldn't get this ugly. Totally did not think HW would dig her heels in and have to be dragged away kicking and screaming. She wants to do this some more! In response, the players send out an Evina hostage video. Our own unique version of March Madness.

But Texas and Stanford weren’t cupcakes and we didn’t look lost when we played them! After Auburn it was just dumbfounding how different we looked...
I am sad for Holly that it didn’t work out b/c it would’ve been a storybook if it had, but it is evident something is wrong and has been for awhile. We have one junior who never plays and one four year senior. C Green might be a senior but she has only been with us two years. Everyone else has left or been dismissed, or we didn’t fill the roster one year.

I have not read all the comments on here, but I have been an advocate for Holly being gone for a long time.

While I appreciate her contribution as a great player at Tennessee, she has never resembled a head coach.

And the big question I have been asking, and have not gotten any answer on: "Can anyone name just one player that improved while playing for Holly?".

I have followed, and been a huge fan of the Lady Vols since the beginning, but I have never been close to being this frustrated.

Holly's lone talent I have seen is that she can whistle. Other than that, she seems to never have a clue as to how to change the course when the game is going bad, which happens way too often.

If Phil truly cares about Tennessee, and all our sports, he will change this disaster now.

Evina Westbrook with 6 Turnovers and 6 points, calls for the firing of her coach in the media.

Westbrook should immediately request a transfer to another school. If not, she should be kicked off the team.
Go for it. I'm sure Evina won't care, and I doubt she'll be thinking about Holly and Tennessee while playing in the 2nd weekend of the NCAAT while Tennessee's watching from home.

Don't worry, you can start thinking how you can blame Jordan next year for not miraculously compensating for Holly's inability to lead, coach or make coherent statements.

Word going around is that Holly will be meeting with Fulmer Monday to discuss another contract extension and raise. Only at UT can you set records in a negative way and get rewarded for it. This team and administration is the absolute *****!

Were you making things up and posting in the Gruden thread?

I am not a huge fan of Warlick, but what Westbrook did is Unforgivable.

Maybe so but my limited experience with this generation is that they are brutally honest in a DGAF sort of way.

Regardless at this point it’s pretty clear the can’t co-exist. Either Holly is back or Evina is back but if Holly’s back what’s left of the roster?

I don't see why Holly has the green light to regularly throw players under the bus, but the 19 year old is expected to be held to a higher standard.

Respect is earned, not assumed. And Holly has done absolutely nothing to earn that trust.

Anyone with half a brain realizes at this point that coach Warlick is not the right person to lead the lady Vols. With that said, IMO Westbrook was out of line with her comments and her don’t care attitude. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt because I’m sure her emotions were running wild and she is young. I just hope things get sorted out because it pains me to see lady Vols Basketball in the shape it’s in now.
GBO!!

What this says to me is Evina will never play another game in a Tennessee uniform if we don't see a change in about a week or so. She will be in the transfer portal no way she is coming back to play for Holly.

Facts. 7 total gone if she stays.

I could care less i said what i said and still see nothing wrong with what she said. maybe you should be telling the head coach to take responsibility and stop publicly putting it on the players on every lose since it's so wrong for Evina to speak of this matter to the media.

Yes, and any coach worth half their salt would have fixed that halfway through last season. Holly just scratches her head.
The only way to stop it is to move her to the wing and either green or Mass start at PG.

Yes sir, she had the guts to say what other players probably wanted to say. It is not Westbrook who is the problem, it is Holly. If anyone needs to transfer, it is Holly, she needs to transfer into retirement.
