I would like to see our baseball team play more baseball next season. Bunt, make contact type hitters who advance the base runners, disruptive base runners who steal anything they see, pitchers holding runners with throws and pitch outs, vacuum cleaner infield. This is baseball and skills that win championships.

No Gilbert and Beck will be drafted in slots where theyre offered millions.

Agree. Ole Miss is likely getting in. You don’t have to be the best team.

I already knew it going in but this is ironclad proof. You have to be the best team the last four weeks and that's pretty much it. We were not and it cost us. I doubt they would admit it but it has to be pressure packed sitting on top for so long. In the 5th when Stevenson drove in the 3rd run and he was on second with nobody out and we got nothing more was a big moment. That is usually the situation where we put the claws in someone. I'm not sure it unspools as it did if we move them around right there.

I dont see Charlie Taylor as our catcher. Need someone better than he is. Good kid but cant hit or throw very well. We should never be in a situation like this year and a converted outfielder doing all the catching. Love Evan and a diehard VFL from good ole WestTennessee. I think Charlie can handle it but I trust the staff to make those decisions.

We had a catcher committed from the portal for this year but he decided to take a pro deal instead.

We have a pretty good shot to land the Skenes kid from Air Force. If we miss on him, it’s probably going to be Dickey or someone else in the portal

I don't expect nearly the record we had this year. Doubt we can pull off both the regular season sec title and SECT like this year. When it comes to the post season, I think the outcome will be similar. We make the super but no further.
