While I do agree we have to get better in the “run” game, this is not even a blip on the radar of why we lost 2 games this weekend. We lost two games because we threw 0-2 or 1-2 meatballs in Games 1 and 3 that led to crushed home runs, and because (if you want to debate it) Tony left Burns in a bit too long.

We also had bad situational hitting in Games 1 and 3. We left a lot of men on base this weekend. We had a chance to bury Notre Dame about 3-4 times today and couldn’t do it. None of this is one person’s fault, I just don’t think the run game cost us at all in the post-season like people said it would.

A curse only works if you believe in it. So what will it take to get you to be a fan of some other team. It might be you causing all these losses over the years.

Or it is voodoo that works that way?

Keep wearing your Orange and pulling for the Vols. We are in good hands with our coaching staffs. You and your curse is just one more thing the Vols have to overcome to get the NCs we all want. You couldn’t stop being a Vol, to break your curse, even if you tried.

There were some injuries his last year. I was told years ago, that boosters ran off him. Delmonico wanted money put into the program. I was surprised he never did much after Tennessee. Pretty sure he was an assistant at FSU.

A big part of his demise was the APR penalties. He wasn’t making kids go to class

We didn’t choke today. ND was just better today. And taking about those early UF and Nebraska teams when we had Peyton? Those teams were absolutely juggernauts. You are making it sound like the teams we have lost to on these post seasons are scrubs. That’s not the case.

It works in all sports. When there are two equally matched teams competing at a high level, an at bat or possession here or there can impact the outcome due to the importance of each one.

I agree that the coaching hires have UT in the best possible position to get post-season titles in baseball, football, women’s basketball, tennis, track, and golf (men’s basketball omission is intentional). I just hope our coaching talent and recruiting can overcome tradition

Nice little gig at the end. Did you put that in the thread about the tradition the Vols should give up in the FF?

That my favorite kind of post. Straight forward opinion with a clean stab in the back.
