100% agree with the pressure on both the players and coaches.I already knew it going in but this is ironclad proof. You have to be the best team the last four weeks and that's pretty much it. We were not and it cost us. I doubt they would admit it but it has to be pressure packed sitting on top for so long. In the 5th when Stevenson drove in the 3rd run and he was on second with nobody out and we got nothing more was a big moment. That is usually the situation where we put the claws in someone. I'm not sure it unspools as it did if we move them around right there.
Another SEC Championship and a possible return to Omaha.
The starting rotation will be a year older and the batting order should be strong.
Do Beck and Gilbert return for another chance to go to Omaha?
Exactly. Anytime a jinx or a curse is mentioned, to me it’s a cop out for what really happened. Sometimes it’s a pitcher getting a batter out. Sometimes it’s the batter getting the hit. There is no such thing as a curse.

It works in all sports. When there are two equally matched teams competing at a high level, an at bat or possession here or there can impact the outcome due to the importance of each one.
But we always come out on the losing end in the modern era-except in women’s basketball and that one year in ‘98. We had arguably the greatest qb of all time playing with first rounders and they’d get their bleep pushed in every time Florida and Nebraska walked on the field. I thought I read where they had a catcher lined up1B. Burke
2B. Ortega - Moore if Ortega goes
SS. Ahuna
3B. Lawson
LF. Dickey
CF. Stevenson
RF. C. Moore ( Think they find a spot for him)
C. ? - need a big time transfer
It will be a very talented team that features likely the first pitcher selected in next years draft (Doolander) and another first rounded the following year in Burns.
